The mortal remains of martyred Havildar Ravindra Singh, posted with the 15th Garhwal Rifles, were immersed in the five elements with full military honors.

After the last rites at his native village Agar, Dashjula on Tuesday morning, a guard of honour was given by an army contingent at Rudraprayag Sangam, after which he was cremated.

During the funeral, army personnel saluted the martyr, and the atmosphere echoed with slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Martyr Amar Rahein.”

A large number of villagers, public representatives, administrative officers and representatives of social organizations were present to bid the final adieu to the martyr.

Martyr Havildar Ravindra Singh was a resident of Agar village, Dashjula (Rudraprayag district). He was posted with the 15th Garhwal Rifles and was martyred while serving the motherland in Arunachal Pradesh on January 18, 2026.

Upon receiving the news of his martyrdom, a wave of grief spread throughout the region. Residents paid tribute to the martyr’s bravery and patriotism, expressing condolences to his family, and praying for the departed soul to rest in peace. Jai Hind
