Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat n Subodh Uniyal visit Devprayag n take stock of the situation

The Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat today visited the ravaged Devprayag township in Pauri Garhwal district alongwith the cabinet ministers Subodh Uniyal, in-charge of Pauri Garhwal district and Dhan Singh Rawat including the district magistrate of Pauri Garhwal. Devprayag yesterday evening witnessed a cloud burst incident that washed away n massively destroyed the ITI n a bank building including some adjoining structures causing tremendous loss to public exchequer. The chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat tweeted in Hindi : In view of the ecological disaster in Devprayag on Tuesday I today inspected the affected areas of Devprayag. During my visit n inspection I met the local populace and assured them of all possible support n help from the state administration. I also directed the district magistrate to immediately ascertain the losses and provide all possible help to the victims of this ecological disaster.

In another tweet he wrote : During my proposed Devprayag visit I also inspected the new Tehsil building and the Covid care centre. With me were the ministers Subodh Uniyal, Dhan Singh Rawat and the Dev Prayag lawmaker Vinod Kandari. Vinod Kandari had yesterday inspected the affected area and had personally requested the chief minister to visit Devprayag to provide moral support n solace to the victims of this ecological disaster.

The chief minister Rawat received petitions from the aggrieved people of Devprayag, patiently heard to their vows n grievances and assured of all possible financial support to the victims n aggreived residents.
