UTTARAYINI EVENTS BEING CELEBRATED AT SEVENTY LOCATIONS IN DELHI, NCR ON 14 JANUARY
Major event at Rajiv Chowk at the behest of Delhi government
The Uttarakhand’s popular festival Uttarayini – Makraini also celebrated at the pan India level by various communities when the sun enters the “Hindu Makraini Rashi” is being celebrated with pomp and show by the Delhi government at various locations financing the organisers.
The Garhwali Jaunsari and Kumaoni Academy was established during the AAP government when Arvind Kejrival was the Delhi CM on October ,16, 2019.
The basic purpose of forming this academy is to promote the Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari languages in Delhi which has a sizeable Uttarakhandi population.
This year’s budget of this academy has been fixed at staggering Rs 19 crores known as Grant – In – Aid as exhibited in the Delhi government budget.
Having started in 2019 during AAP government good number of NGOs of Uttarakhand in Delhi were financed and alloted financial aids to organise such events known as Uttarayini to promote the regional culture , festivities, folk songs, dances and also theatre activities.
However, the primary hidden agenda behind such events is to propagate the political ideology, affinity and association with the Pahari people in Delhi and NCR who are in large numbers approximately thirty lakhs even more to beget their votes during elections.
It’s indeed a solid vote bank which no political party would like to lose .
Since the government in power sponsors these Uttarayini events in atleast seventy locations in the national capital majority of the programmes have the chief guests and organisers associated with the ruling party and the local MlAs n MPs in focus thus obviously furthering their political agenda through their speeches etc among the Uttarakhand community majority of whom are is already tilted towards the saffron party and its agenda of majoritarianism.
The Parvatiya lok Vikas Samittee which has been organising Uttarayini for the last fifty years and is majorly contributive in fructifying this festival becoming the main yearly agenda of every Delhi government is organising the GRAND UTTARAYINI EVENT at the centre of Rajiv Chowk on 14 January from 12 to six PM .
A charming event is also being organised in Dwarka by the Uttaraiyini Committee of Dwarka in a lavish way.
According to the chairman of the Parvatiya Lok Vikas Samittee Surya Prakash Semwal and patron Rajeshwari Painuly – the Delhi Uttarayini event is being sponsored by the Delhi government which will have interesting and mesmerising events of entertainment in Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari dialects including folk songs, dances and display of the cultural heritage on a vast scale including felicitation of outstanding personalities with Delhi, Uttarakhand Gaurav awards as well.
The artists of repute from Uttarakhand and Delhi will perform on the Rajiv Chowk stage with a guarantee of hundred percent traditional entertainment with Uttarakhand’s traditions, culture, folk songs, dances and mesmerising presentation by renowned artists assured Surya Prakash Semwal.
