PARLIAMENT ADJOURNED FOR THE DAY ON THE FIRST DAY OF WINTER SESSION AMID SLOGANEERING ON SIR AND VOTE CHORI

The first day of the winter session of parliament today witnessed uproarious scenes and slogan shouting against the NDA government in the lower and upper houses today on the issue of Intensive Special Revision and vote chori leading to the adjournment first up to 2 PM and then again for the whole day. The prime minister Narendra Modi addressed the media before the session saying that he hoped that there will be no ruckus in the Parliament . The NDA government alao convened the meeting of the opposition parties to discuss about the bills and other business to be taken in the first week of the ongoing session. However, as soon as the house started in Lok Sabha the INDIA constituents ( opposition MPs) raised slogans against the votes theft and Special Intensive Revision leading to the adjournment of the lok Sabha till afternoon.
Meanwhile the ruling political dispensation was able to pass the Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Bill-2025 to replace Ordinance.
When the proceedings resumed at 2 PM against uproarious seems were witnessed amid slogan shouting – finally leading to the adjournment of LS for the day.
In another matter pertaining to the Congress MP from Andhra Pradesh Dr. Renuka chowdhary a controversy arose and the video of her with a puppy ( dog) went viral in social media.
When questioned by the ANI reporter about the video going viral of her with puppy entering parliament precincts against protocol, infuriated Dr. Renuka Choudhary said that the government doesn’t have anything important to discuss than such petty issues. She said while she was on way to parliament she saw a hapless puppy wandering on the road after an accident between a car and motorcycle.
In order to save the voiceless creature I brought the puppy to parliament and after me dripping here sent the puppy back to my house. What wrong have I done said Dr. Renuka Chowdhary Congress MP ? She asked is it wrong or lawless to nurse a puppy or bring it to parliament. Where is the law ?
She angrily said, the actual law violators or biters are sitting inside the parliament. Why no action is taken against them said Dr. Renuka Choudhary, Congress MP and dog lover who claims to look after many street dogs in her house and if need be can show them on camera to price her looking after their welfare said the Congress MP.
It may be recalled that the winter session of parliament that started today will continue till December 19 with the government also focussing on a long list of economic and financial bills including an important Atomic Energy Bill 2025 which seeks to allow private investment in the nuclear power generation sector.
On the other hand yesterday the INDIA has demanded a debate in parliament on SIR and had said that in case their demand is denied they will not let the house function.
