The vociferous United States President who was very much hopeful of receiving the prestigious Nobel prize for his contribution in bringing peace between Israel and Hamas (Gaza) must be a disappointed man as this year’s prestigious NOBEL went to the Venezuala opposition leader Mario Corino Machado for her relentless struggle to bring democracy in the country where prevailed Dictatorship.
The announcement and subsequent presentation of the prestigious 2025 – NOBEL PEACE PRIZE today in OSLO out of total 338 nominations that comprising of 244 individuals and 94 organisations has shocked Americans and White House probably.
The US president Donald Trump was highly optimistic for the Noble Award and several countries like Israel, Pakistan, Azarbaizan, Armenia, Thailand,and Cambodia has recommended his name for the Noble Peace Award with President Donald Trump strongly lobbying fir it, seriously.
According to a news report Venezuela’s opposition leader, Machado, was highly appreciated for her immense contribution in bringing democracy in her country playing a role of a “key, unifying figure in a political opposition that was once deeply
divided – an opposition that found common ground in the demand for free elections and representative government, “said Jorgen Watne Frydnes, chair of the Norwegian Nobel committee per HT report. Machado’s dedication to justice and human rights has made her a beacon of hope for many.

It may be recalled that born on October 7, 1967 in Caracas, the capital of the South American country Venezuela, and educated in industrial engineering, María Corón Machado is a politician, advocate of democracy and civil rights.
She is the co-founder of Súmate, an organization that works on voter monitoring and civil rights, and the national coordinator of Vente Venezuela, a major Venezuelan political party.
Maria served as a member of the National Assembly from 2011–2014 but was later stripped of her public office for political reasons, a move considered controversial.
Despite political pressure, arrests of opponents, and violent repression, she continued to fight for peace and democracy.
He has previously received several international honors, such as the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize in 2024.
Maria Coron Machado has been honored by the Nobel Committee for her persistent advocacy and leadership for democratic rights, civil liberties, and peaceful transition of power, while facing various forms of resistance.
