Rescue operations in full swing af Nandnagar Chamoli , Ten missing, two dead bodies retrieved from under the debris

Chamoli: A cloudburst on the Binsar hilltop in the Nandanagar area of Chamoli late Wednesday night caused massive devastation. Ten people were reported missing. The bodies of two people have been recovered so far.
The search for seven people is ongoing. Rescue teams pulled one person from the rubble after approximately 16 hours. Ten houses were also completely destroyed in the devastation.
Eight people from Kuntri village, including a husband, wife, and two children, went missing in the disaster. Two elderly people from Dhurma village are also missing. Rescue teams recovered the bodies of two people from the rubble.
Meanwhile, the search operation for the missing people is still ongoing. All possible assistance is being provided to the affected people. Kunwar Singh, who was buried under the debris in the Nandanagar disaster, has been safely rescued after 16 hours.
But his family could not be saved. His wife and two twin sons died in the disaster. Balwant Singh of Phali Laga Kuntri had one son living with his family in another city, while his other son, Kunwar Singh, lived in the village with his wife and twin sons.
They worked as laborers to build their home. Their two children, Vikas and Vishal (10 years old), studied at Saraswati Shishu Mandir. Early Thursday morning, the entire family was sleeping inside when disaster struck, burying the entire house in rubble.
As relief and rescue operations began in the morning, rescue workers, while clearing debris from houses, heard a voice coming from one of the houses. When they looked into the room through a window, they discovered Kunwar Singh was inside.
The rescue team quickly began working to extricate him. Kunwar Singh was pulled out around 6 p.m. Half of his body was buried under debris in the room.
Mud covered his face, but the window allowed him to breathe. Kunwar Singh was immediately rushed to the hospital. His wife, Kanti Devi, and two sons were buried under the rubble.
