The former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat has levelled serious allegations against the saffron party BJP for involvement in hooliganism, and forcibly kidnapping the district panchayat members n BDC members and in their absence their family members in order to capture the blocks. He said that this is BJP’s new character witnessed in Dwarhat, Kumaon, Uttarakhand. He said that the BJP supported goons were threatening the members in order to capture the blocks.
Strongly condemning the BJP action of threatening the members and forcibly taking their family members including the women Harish Rawat said that today, the people of the BJP candidate stopped the vehicles of the Congress members and after stopping them, they picked up the family members of our members, the women members and took them away and now they are being threatened that “bring voters or else you will be in trouble”.
Local people have been sitting blocking the road in Dwarahat for three-four hours. But the police administration is not even ready to file an FIR. This is another undemocratic cruel face of the democratic state government said the former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat.
Rawat mentioned these charges in his face book post today.

आज भाजपा के प्रत्याशी के लोगों ने कांग्रेस के सदस्यों की गाड़ियों को रोका और रोक कर के जो हमारे सदस्यगण हैं, महिला सदस्यों के परिवार के लोगों को उठाकर के ले गए और अब उनको धमकाया जा रहा है कि “वोटर लाओ, नहीं तो तुम्हारी खैर नहीं”।
स्थानीय लोग तीन-चार घंटे से द्वाराहाट में सड़क जाम करके बैठे हैं। लेकिन पुलिस प्रशासन #FIR दर्ज करने के लिए भी तैयार नहीं है। यह लोकतांत्रिक राज्य सरकार का एक और गैर लोकतांत्रिक क्रूर चेहरा दिखाई दे रहा है।
