Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs Felicitates 3 Winners of DIAL 2025-26 for Japan Study Tour
Daiki Axis Launches DIAL Project to Empower India’s Next Generation of Environmental Leaders
New Delhi. The national final rounds of DIAL 2025-26 were held today at India International Centre, New Delhi by Daiki Axis India Pvt. Ltd. The Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India felicitated the top 3 finalists with trophies and a study tour opportunity to Japan. The remaining 3 outstanding students were awarded trophies and tablets.
The DIAL Project – Daiki Axis India Action & Innovation for the Environment is a CSR and environmental education initiative of Daiki Axis India. It encourages university students to understand environmental challenges, learn from the history of developed nations, develop original ideas and practical action plans suited to local conditions, and grow into responsible leaders who can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable India as a foundation of Viksit Bharat @ 2047*.
Launched under the tagline “PROTECT X CHANGE”, DIAL 2025-26 supported more than 70 colleges and over 300 university students across India with research potential, funding, mentoring and Japan study tours. Students worked on the projects for 6 months.
Around 15 outstanding students from technical, environment and finance backgrounds presented their projects. The presentations focused on innovative technological solutions, new-age regulations, mass-scale awareness through social media, theatre, and specifically on recycling of water waste, polluted rivers and decentralized implementation of Jhiukaso technology in India from rural to urban areas.
According to Mr. Hiroki Ogame, Chairman & CEO, Daiki Axis Japan, “The youth of India have the potential to realize the dream of Viksit Bharat through knowledge, skill and effort. DIAL brings these forces together to define the relationship between us, water and the environment. Water shapes India’s destiny more profoundly than any other natural resource.”
Mr. Rio Waza, MD, Daiki Axis India, Mr. Kamal Tiwari, Director & CEO and Mr. KC Pandey, Advisor & Board Member were also present on the occasion.
The 3 finalists selected for the Japan Study Tour are:
1. Aman Pachauri – IIT Mandi
2. Chainya Reddy- SIIB Pune
3. Yashir Hamid – IIT Roorkee
The Jury comprised of:
Mr. G.P. Upadhyay, IAS (Retd), Dr. Divya Agarwal, Professor Environmental Science, JMC Delhi University, Dr. A K Goyal – DRDO Shalabh Kumar – Former Board Member, Delhi Jal Board, Delhi and Dr. B Bhalla – RITES India.
As part of future expansion, Daiki Axis India will roll out DIAL 2.0 with two key pillars:
Pillar 1 — DIAL Innovation Challenge: Focus on student research, new technologies and practical environmental action plans.
Pillar 2 — DIAL Communication Challenge: Nationwide program open to students beyond DIAL finalists, encouraging digital storytelling, content creation, social media and environmental awareness campaigns.
Daiki Axis India stated that it aims to develop DIAL into a leading environmental education and CSR platform for university students and has invited collaboration with government organizations, educational institutions and industry partners.
“Through DIAL, we want to provide students with experiences beyond the classroom and help them connect academic learning with practical environmental responsibility,” the company noted.
The initiative comes at a time when India is prioritizing youth engagement in climate action and sustainable development goals.
