18 July was the thirteenth death anniversary of the first and original superstar of Indian Film Industry Rajesh Khanna , a heart throb of millions. A Hawan was organised, food packets and Tshirts delivered to the poor and needy and singing tributes paid to this great star by his fans and artists at The Treat Rajesh Khanna food van venue where Kaka himself used to visit very often while in Delhi during his days as New Delhi MP and even after giving up active politics. His die hard fan who Kaka considered as his younger brother the owner of The Treat, Rajesh Khanna Food Van Vipin Oberoi and his family every year commemorate his death anniversary and celebrate the super stars birthday at this very venue near Maitreyi College, in Diplomatic Enclave Chanakyapuri. Kaka’s die hard fans converge at the venue and enjoy the melodious voices of Kaka’s sings of Super duper songs the voice given by the prominent singer Kishore Kumar. Yesterday ,a Hawan was organised by Vipin Oberoi , his wife where Sunil Negi, journalist and former honorary media advisor to Kaka, senior journalist and author Suresh Nautiyal , Sanjay Malik , the event organisor of several prestigious musical shows and several artists were present on this ocassion including Kaka’s fans. The family also distributed food packets and Tshirts to the poor and needy. Various super duper hit songs were sung by an event ably anchored by renowned singer and mimicry artist Ganga Thakur. The melodious songs of Aradhna, AAP Ki Kasam, Roti, Dushman, Amar Prem, Anand, Do Raste, Akhri Khat, Bawarchi, etc were sung and the audience remained glued to their seats. Due to rains the programme was disturbed for some time but was restarted in the evening when the rain stopped. About thousand people were distributed food packets as a mark of respect to Raja, who himself used to do so at the venue on his birthdays when he was alive. Those who led their melodious voice to Kaka’s super duper hit songs were Ganga Thakur, Kishan Dubey, Khushi Singh, Atul Kumar, Shadhi Chouhan, Shrishti, Ravi Sinha etc.
