While the war between India and Pakistan is formally over at least for now with US President Donald Trump claiming credibility for bringing truce between both the nations even mentioning his outstanding achievement in Soudia Arabia thanking his NSA and Vice President to the core for doing a great work with India giving all credit to prime minister Narendra Modi, his team and the chiefs of the defence forces and our bravehearts at the borders relentlessly fighting the enemy forces etc, the main opposition party Congress is leaving no stone unturned to ridicule the Indian PM’s friend and ally US president Donald Trump for claiming ceasefire credit on behalf of India and Congress leaders also strongly giving credit to the former PM Indira Gandhi who not only divided Pakistan into two countries in 1971 but also sent back the US Aircraft carrier in Indian Ocean which had come in support of Pakistan.
However, the vociferous Assam CM Hemanta Biswas questioned late PM Indira Gandhi’s contribution to 1971 war denigrating her reputation and laudable role in dividing India into Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The war of words through social media platform goes on unabated even after three days of the India Pak war coming to a permanent standstill for now.
The senior Congress leader, former union minister and the Incharge of the AICC communication department, outspoken – Jairam Ramesh strongly reacted to and criticized the speech of the United States President Donald Trump in Saudi Arabia claiming all credit for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan considering both the countries as his alleged stooges. He wrote on X :
A few days ago we learnt of the ceasefire with Pakistan from the President of the United States.
Now, at a public event in Saudi Arabia yesterday, the President reveals that he may have coerced and blackmailed India into this ceasefire using the carrot-and-stick of sanctions and trade deals.
What do the typically loquacious PM and EAM have to say about this revelation? Did they mortgage India’s security interests in the face of US pressure?

Another Congress leader and spokesman Pawan Khera was no less behind to say that US President says it again :
“I used trade to make a deal between them, and they agreed…” Not only is@realDonaldTrump hyphenating India with Pakistan, he is comparing Prime Minister Modi with Shehbaz Sharif.

As if this was not enough, another CONGRESS leader who with Mayawati earlier and joined Congress , now a Rajya Sabha MP Kunwar Danish Ali said : Mr @realDonaldTrump
is repeatedly claiming before the world that he stopped the Indo-Pak war. Is this not an insult to the Prime Minister @narendramodi
on the international stage? Why is Modi Ji silent? Is this not a silent surrender? Or has our self-respect also been paid for? Asked the Congress leader on X.
He further strongly reacted to the derogatory statement of the Madhya Pradesh minister Vijay Shah who equated Colonel Sofia Qureshi with terrorists terming her as their sister. Strongly criticizing him for his highly derogatory statement Danish Ali said this statement is a reflection of anti-national mentality. People of@BJP4India find religion even in army uniform. Colonel Sofia Qureshi is the daughter of India, the pride of the army. The minister who is calling her “sister of terrorists” is insulting the entire Indian army. This is poisonous fanaticism wrote the Amroha MP on X.
However, the chief minister of Assam Hemanta Biswas in one of the political event strongly criticized the former prime minister Indira Gandhi for dividing India in 1971 putting three questions to Congress party which is criticizing US president and the BJP government. He asked : If Indira Gandhi was alive, I would have had 3 questions for her:
Why despite our military defeating Pakistan, her government couldn’t
1️⃣ Take back PoK?
2️⃣ Expand Chicken Neck Corridor by 100 km?
3️⃣ Secure sea port access for North East?

To this the Assam Congress chief and twice the MLA Bhupen Kumar reacted strongly posting a lengthy post on X writing :
When the whole world acknowledged the bravery and political courage of Smt.Indira Gandhi, who despite the pressure from the USA and such Pakistani allies, dared to back the Indian Army.
The results are recorded in history. The Indian Army won the 1971 war, inflicting a decisive victory. The results were far reaching. Over 90000 soldiers of the Pakistani army were taken as POWs.
This historic victory changed the geographical territory of Pakistan. A new country was born, as India carved out a new sovereign country from the ribs of Pakistan and changed its map forever in 1971.
Even the stalwarts in the opposition were full of praises for the valor shown by Smt. Indira Gandhi.
Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee went on record, praising her to the skies and he was later sent as an Indian envoy to defend India in the UN. So, it is clear what happened.
I would urge the CM of Assam to read history from history books and not from spin doctors said Bhupen Kumar , president of Assam CONGRESS.
