Delhi CM says : She is coming amidst you after cancelling the meeting with Home minister Shah. You should pat my back say Rekha Gupta

The Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta who has completed twenty days of her rule in the national capital after assuming office said to her well-wishers in a Holi Milan Samaroh that she is coming here to be in your midst after cancelling the meeting already fixed with the union home minister Amit Shah.

Addressing the audience at Shalimar Club society on Tuesday night Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said you should pat me on my back for the bravery I showed today saying that I refused the meeting with the union home minister because I had to be in your midst. You are so important for me said Rekha Gupta.

Narrating the incident she asked the audience Guess how I came here, I said to home minister Amit Shah that Sir I couldn’t attend the pre fixed meeting . When the home minister asked me why , I said Sir I already has a meeting with the electorates of my constituency to extend my thanks to them. Therefore it won’t be possible for me to come. He said OK come tomorrow. She added : This means you are so important for me that I can reject the pre fixed meeting with the HM Amit Shah. No problem , I will go tomorrow Afterall unhe Mujhse hi to Kaam Karwana Hai said the smiling CM to the constituency people while thanking them and extending her Holi greetings.

Meanwhile she announced that soon there will be cruise running in the Yamuna river as the work with regard to the cleaning of the Yamuna has already commenced.

Giving information about the MoU signed in the meeting Rekha Gupta wrote in a post on X, “The Delhi government is continuously taking historic steps in public interest, which are proving to be a milestone in the all-round development of the state. In this context, I am proud to announce that River Yamuna is being developed as National Waterway-110 under the Inland Waterways Act 2016, which will stretch from Jagatpur (Delhi) to Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh). Under this project, an important MoU has been signed for the development of river boat tourism/ferry services. This initiative will boost water transport, accelerate the economic and environmental development of Delhi, as well as develop green transport and improve the livelihood of people living along the Yamuna banks.” wrote Rekha Gupta on X.

In another meeting in the presence of the union home minister , Delhi CM , Delhi police commissioner and high ranking officers of Home ministry and Delhi police a decision was taken that from onwards the landlords should take special care to ensure that before giving their flats to any foreign national on rent they should report to the police and register them with the Foreign regional registration office within the twenty four hours in order to ensure that their credentials are under adequate check. This is being done to apply check on illegal activities like drug peddling and other criminal activities. This is also necessary to apply check on illegal immigrants staying in Delhi without proper verification and with the necessary documents.
