Second list of AAP released. Rakhi Bidlan and Manish Sisodia to contest from Madipur and Jangpura!
The Aam Admi Party high command has released its second list of twenty candidates which mentions shift in constituencies of the Delhi deputy speaker Rakhi Bidlan and former deputy CM Manish Sisodia including few of the defectors from BJP to AAP getting party tickets. The first list of AAP has dropped three MLAs names due to massive anti incumbency against them in their respective constituencies. In the present list released today the names of thirteen sitting MLA have been dropped and two senior MLAs have been shifted to other constituencies viz. Jangpura and Madipur as above. The Delhi chief minister Atishi Marlena Singh reposted the message of Manish Sisodia on her social media handle X earlier twitter which mentioned :
My heartfelt gratitude to@ArvindKejriwalji and@AamAadmiParty, who showed faith in me and gave me the responsibility of contesting elections from Jangpura. I consider myself a teacher, not a politician. Patparganj was not just an assembly constituency for me, but the heart of the education revolution in Delhi. When Avadh Ojha ji joined the party and there was a demand to field him in the elections, all I could think was that there could be no better seat than Patparganj for a teacher. I am happy to hand over the responsibility of Patparganj to another teacher. Now I am ready to work with everyone in Jangpura to do the same work that I did in Patparganj for education, service and development. For me, politics is not a means to power, but a means to education, honesty and public welfare. From Patparganj to Jangpura, my resolve is firm: to make Delhi even better wrote former deputy CM Manish Sisodia on X.
According to the latest list those who got party ticket are Dinesh Bharadwaj from Narela, Surinder Pal Singh Bitto from Timarpur. He had joined AAP just two days ago and has been obliged by Kejrival cutting the ticket of Dilip Pandey, an AAP heavy weight and a sitting MLA from Timarpur. Bittoo had been the state lawmakers twice during the Congress rule on Congress ticket to join BJP afterwards but now in AAP. From Adarsh Nagar Mukesh Goel got the tickets and Jasbir Karala from Mundka. From Mangolpuri Rakhi Bidlan, the sitting MLA has been shifted to Madipur and in her place Rajesh Jatav Dharmaraksk has been obliged. From Rohini Pradeep Mittal is the new entrant. From Palam Joginder Solanki has been given AAP ticket while from Jangpura Manish Sisodia is the candidate shifted from Patparganj due his margin coming down drastically to 3100 votes ( winning margin) from 28000 winning margin. From Deoli Prem Kumar Chauhan got the tickets while Anjana Parcha has been accommodated from Trilokpuri. Awadh Ojha who is a new entrant in AAP has been given ticket from Patparganj from where won Manish Sisodia three times but now went to Jangpura due to apprehension of losing from the earlier constituency.
What is important here to note is the Padmashri Jitendra Singh Shanti twice MLA earlier having joined AAP just two days ago got the ticket from Shahadra in lieu of the sitting AAP MLA due to the sitting AAP MLA’s non performance and the former being extremely popular due to his good image having donated blood 106 times and serving the needy , helpless and poor during Covid times performing the last rites of around 70000 bodies when nobody came out of their houses to perform the last rites and apprehensive of dreaded pandemic.
