Delhiites confronting difficulty in breathing with AQI galloping in Delhi

Tomorrow is Deepawali and Delhi will witness fire crackings all over Delhi and the country. Delhi which is already polluted badly beats all records on Deepawali and other days as well. Today the Delhites are facing difficulties in breathing with the the Air Quality Index ( AQI) crossing 300 points. Today is Chotee Diwali and this may further go up multiply making life difficult to breathe in the national capital with pollution going tremendously high on Deepawali day making it difficult for the Delhi residents, domestic pets and street animals including those already suffering from Asthama, respiratory, heart , cancer and lungs related ailments.

According to the latest news though the meteorological department had predicted clear skies during the two days giving a sigh of relief for Delhites during Diwali but despite this assurance today’s morning AQI has crossed 300 points worrying everyone.

In Delhi due to extensive stubble burning and multiple factors like construction and traffic pollution the Delhites are already inhaling the toxic air of Delhi resulting in Delhi being in the list of top ten metropolises etc.

Delhi rates as the third metropolitan city among the three cities of the country despite it being the national capital.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board the Air Quality Index in Delhi is in extremely bad shape.

The Anand Vihar locality leads in terms of air pollution in Delhi with its AQI at 351 followed by Mundka 347, Wazirpur 319, Jahangirpuri 310, R.K.Puram in South Delhi 285 , Okhla 274, with Bawana registering 320 points.

In trans Yamuna areas like Vivek Vihar the AQI was 308 whereas in Narela it was 312 and in Dwarka 267.

In North West Rohini the AQI was 286 and in Punjabi Bagh it was 277. This AQI on or the next day of Deepawali is bound to cross 400 points making the lives of Delhites and NCR literally hell. Not only this but the Yamuna is also full of pollutants with the toxic Yamuna becoming a life threat for Delhites despite hundreds of Crores of rupees spent on its cleaning during the past years.
