Former Uttarakhand Kranti Dal chief B.D.Raturi leaves for heavenly abode at 77

The former president of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal B.D. Raturi has breathed his last in a private hospital suffering from age related ailments. He was 77 years old. A soft spoken down to earth person and a politician Raturi during his tenure as the UKD president have worked hard to spread the organisation at the grass roots levels in Uttarakhand. Raturi was one of the leading advocates and was also active in the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal for several years. He was extremely active in the Uttarakhand movement during the nineties being in close proximity of UKD senior leaders like its founder the Uttarakhand Gandhi Indramani Badoni, Mr. Tripathi, Kashi Singh Airy, Mr. Jantwal and Trivendra Singh Pawar etc. The senior journalist Suresh Nautiyal and president of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum n editor UKNATIONNEWS Sunil Negi has in a statement said : We are sad to inform that Advocate BD Raturi, former President of the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) and Patron of the party passed today. He was 77, and leaves behind a family. Our deepest heartfelt condolences to the family and friends! He was a soft spoken person who always spread positivity with his evergreen smile. Senior Vice President of Uttarakhand Congress and Central Chief Patron of Identified State Movement Activists Joint Committee, Dhirendra Pratap has expressed deep grief and condolences on the demise of BD Raturi, a well-known face of Uttarakhand movement and former President of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal. Former president and general secretary , UKD Trivendra Panwar in his condolence message wrote in social media : It is with great sadness that we have to inform that today our party’s patron and former president B D Raturi ji has passed away. He was 77 years old and his demise is a great loss to the UKD family. We pray to God to give strength to his family to bear the loss. And give his holy soul a place at feet of Lord. Om Shanti Om
