Congress blames BJP for pushing Uttarakhand towards political instability by changing two CMs in 4.3 yrs span

The Congress leaders , AICC general secretary Harish Rawat, chief spokesman of Congress Randeep Singh Surjewala, Secretary AICC n Incharge Uttarakhand Congress affairs Devendra Yadav, Uttarakhand Congress chief Pritam Singh and deputy CLP leader of UK Karan Mahra today addressed a hurriedly convened press conference at AICC headquarter 24 Akbar Road and taking full advantage of the political situation in Uttarakhand accused Bhartiya Janata Party and its high command of creating instability in Uttarakhand by repeatedly changing two chief ministers in a span of 4.5 years, giving the state 7 CMs in just eleven years thus betraying the state’s electorates not fulfilling their single pre election promises pertaining to employment , health services and all round development allegedly perpetuating corruption and anti people governance.

Levelling serious charges of patronising its few lawmakers allegedly accused of charges of obnoxious rape, perpetuating corruption, anti people rule and lathi charging the protesting unemployed youths peacefully protesting to demand employment these leaders catagorically charged the double engine governments of BJP at the centre and state of not only belying their trust and expectations who gave them the government with 57 lawmakers but had also created political instability in the state by changing two chief ministers going for the third appointment, also failing completely on pandemic front by spreading Covid 19 through Haridwar Mahakumbh, massive fake testing scam leading to several fatalities etc.

The former Uttarakhand CM and general secretary AICC Harish Rawat who could not present himself due to his ailing health, down with fever, while addressing the PC via mobile castigated the PM Narendra Modi and the BJP high command of not coming true to the people’s expectations by forgetting all the poll promises made to Uttarakhand electorates thus failing the double engine BJP government on all fronts and added that it has also put the state in political turmoil by changing two CMs going for the third incumbent in just 4.5 years thus belying peoples’ high expectations on employment generation, empowering women and farmers, improvising health n education sectors n other fronts of the state.

The Uttarakhand in-charge Devendra Yadav criticizing the central and state leadership of BJP has levelled charges of alleged rape on some party lawmakers and accused the state leadership of patronising them despite high court orders for registration of FIR n DNA test thus harrassing the women victims running from pillar to post for want of justice.

Blaming the BJP state government for being completely negligent and inefficient on the employment front he said that while during Congress regime the unemployment was 1.5% but during the BJP regime of 4.5 years in has hiked to 11.5% despite the pre poll promises given by them to electorates during the 2017 elections.

Criticising the central and state leadership of BJP of changing the two CMs, Yadav said that the chief minister could have contested the election from Salt assembly constituency but has escaped from the contest in the name of Covid factor, this resulting in creating a constitutional crisis enabling its high command to take an excuse for his ouster. Yadav questioned if the CM was to be changed that what was the necessity to appoint him three months ago?

The state Congress chief Pritam Singh levelling charges of corruption, inefficiency and patronising its lawmaker involved in alleged rape said that the BJP government has been a total failure in taking the state towards development and providing employment to the youths including pushing the farmers, women, youths towards economic jeopardy.

He blamed the BJP leadership of knowingly creating a constitutional crisis by changing the CM Rawat despite the fact that the constitutional norms do not permit him to contest the by-election as the period less than one year at his disposal do not constitutionally permit him to seek election as lawmaker.

The Uttarakhand chief blamed the BJP CMs of pushing the state to economic jeopardy thus belying the people’s expectation on all fronts who’s accorded them an absolute majority with 57 lawmakers leading to massive pandemic by organising Mahakumbh and patronising the alleged culprit of a firm involved in massive fake testing scam.

He also accused the BJP rule and its former CMs for not appointing the Lok Pal in Uttarakhand despite several pre poll assurances and repeated demands of Congress.

The deputy leader of CLP in Uttarakhand Assembly Karan Mahra raised several scams related to Dhencha seeds, NH 74 etc and alleged rapes during the BJP rule and said that no action have been taken in these scandals to punish the guilty in addition to alleged involvement of the former CM n his relatives in a Jharkhand case in whose bank account money was deposited with all the necessary proofs submitted in the high court.
