The intelligence, courage and dexterity of a woman pilot saved the helicopter rear rotor was entangled in an 11000 high voltage wire at Chamba Arakot area



There was a panicky situation at Chamba-Arakot area on Monday morning when a helicopter being owned by Trans Bharat Aviation Company struck an 11,000-volt high-tension power line with the passenger badly frightened praying to Almighty for their safety.
According to the latest news the helicopter’s rear rotor became entangled in the high-tension wire, causing it to twitch violently in the air and spiral out of control. The situation was so panicky that the passengers on board were left breathless, but the presence of mind, courage, and skill of the female pilot averted a major tragedy deserving to be awarded for dextrously coming out of the dangerous situation.
The news reports revealed that the helicopter was carrying pilgrims from Badrinath Dham to Guptkashi. Meanwhile, due to VIP movement in Guptkashi, the pilot was instructed to fly directly to Dehradun.
While the helicopter was flying over the Chamba-Arakot area, its tail suddenly came into contact with an 11,000-volt high-tension line.
The eyewitnesses and passengers disclosed that the helicopter began to jerk violently as the wire became entangled in the rotor and remained unbalanced in the air for some time. Even in this terrifying situation, the female pilot remained calm and composed and, despite the entangled power line tried her best courageously to steer the helicopter over the open fields of the Satyo-Saklana area, where it made a safe emergency landing. Kudos.
The teams of Tehri police, the administration, and related departments were swift and vigilant enough to arrive at the scene immediately and began relief and rescue operations. Police have established a security cordon around the area and urged people to ignore rumors and rely only on official information.
The passengers who were safe and sound despite this hiccup immensely praised the bravery and presence of mind of the female pilot and said that her courage and quick decision saved everyone’s life.
They heaved a great sign of relief after proper landing though it was an emergency landing on agricultural fields due to the intelligence and dextrous piloting where they were in real crisis hanging between life and death.
The tail section of the helicopter was damaged. However, all six passengers and the pilot on board are safe.
