The champion of most dangerous Martial Mix Art in global fighting competition raising the Indian tricolour high and also bringing laurels for the nation and Uttarakhand by entering the semifinals – enthusiastic young champion of Rudraprayag, Garhwal Uttarakhand Angad Bisht was accorded a warm welcome at Delhi International airport by his fans and game lovers carrying Indian national flags and greeting him, applying Tilak on his forehead amidst beating of drums.
Angad Bisht of Rudraprayag Uttarakhand has been credited for raising the Indian flag high by winning the most dangerous mixed martial art in the world defeating John Almaza of Phillipines in China with his outstanding feat on Chinese land in the prestigious Road to UFC competition entering the semifinals.
Primarily hailing from Rudraprayag, Garhwal, Uttarakhand Angad Bisht is currently running an academy to train budding fighters to reach the top.
Angad has earlier taken part in several fights abroad in global competitions in several countries making a mark for himself defeating his opponents and winning prestigious titles.
On Sunday Angad had even in the first round of the fight dominated over his rival fighter. Keeping in view his extreme alertness and powerful punches on his opponent John of Phillipines couldn’t see any opportunity to counter Angad’s domination.
John who is extremely energetic and has the calibre to defeat his rival however, couldn’t stand in front of Angad compelling the referee to give the decision in his favour for his tremendous hitting power n energetic moves thus giving the decision favourably giving the decision of technical knock out and declaring Angat the winner. After winning this fight and entering the semifinals, now Angad will have to compete with Korean Wrestler Chai Ding Hun.
Angad Bisht from Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand earlier won the Super Fight League in 2018, won the Brave Combat Federation fight in 2019, and won the Matrix Fight Night title in 2021. Also won the first flyweight championship in Dubai. Angad is also currently training more than 60 youth.
And in the same month of May 2024, the world’s most dangerous fight was held in China, by winning the fight in the MMA (56 kg) category, he created a world record and made India and Uttarakhand proud!
