Usually in Congress due to internal differences and squabbles the candidates are declared or finalised on the last day of withdrawal. This has been the usual practice and the candidates do not get enough time to campaign leading to defeats. The BJP’s first list of 195 candidates have already been out and the Congress leaders are busy in Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra of Rahul Gandhi leaving their state leaders and candidates in lurch. The chief election committee to finalise the Congress candidates of Uttarakhand will be held on 7 th March . It is believed that after finalisation of the names of all the candidates the first list will be released shortly. Till now there were in total fourt aspirants for tickets from five lok sabha constituencies and some must have applied later, but it is believed that the screening committee would be squeezing the list to two candidates or three from every constituency leaving the choice on the CEC.
