Delhi government announces Rs 12000 financial aid to every women of Delhi above 18 years under “Chief minister Samman Yojana”
Should not be in government service, should not be a tax payer and not receiving government pension etc
The women community of Delhi today got yet another gift from the Delhi government led by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing a press conference with the Delhi finance minister Aatishee Delhi chief minister today announced that every women of Delhi will now be accorded a financial assistant of Rs 1000 every month ( 12 thousand rupees a year) and this disbursement will start post general elections after getting it approved in the cabinet committee.
Kejriwal said though this step of the Delhi government will put fiscal pressure on Delhi government but to empower our mothers, sisters this step is necessary as majority of our elderly women and those unemployed have to depend on others for their basic daily needs , medicines etc.
Patting his government as pro people for having given free electricity, water and medical treatments including medicines and quality education in government hospitals Arvind Kejriwal said that today his government has taken a great step to empower women of Delhi saying that without empowering women financially the slogans are hollow.
He said the money goes to politicians and vulger ostentation but the Delhi government has saved the money very carefully and are now giving 12000 rupees to every Delhi women above 18 years on the condition that she is not a tax payer or in government service and not receiving any pension from the government nor is she a tax payer.
Saying that he is very proud of Delhi’s budget, this scheme to empower Delhi women financially will commence post elections after getting is passed in the Cabinet committee of Delhi government.
The Delhi chief minister while writing on X congratulated Delhi women as below:
Many congratulations to all my mothers, sisters and daughters of Delhi. To empower women, your Delhi government has taken a step forward and has now given a gift of Rs 12,000 to women annually. All our sisters, daughters, mothers and sisters above 18 years of age will now be given Rs 1000 per month under the Chief Minister Samman Yojana. Kindly note that the Delhi government has made a provision of Rs 76000 crores for Mukhyamantri Samman Yojana in the budget of 2024-25 to be formally implemented after the general elections. The Punjab AAP government led by chief minister Bhagwant Mann has already implemented this scheme after coming to power defeating ruling Congress party government last year.
