Bill on HORIZONTAL 10% RESERVATION FOR UTTARAKHAND MOVEMENT ACTIVISTS PASSED IN UTTARAKHAND ASSEMBLY WITH ENHANCEMENT IN PENSION TOO

The Uttarakhand government has after passing the bill on Uniform Civil Code also passed the bill on the horizontal reservation to the Uttarakhand movement activists in government jobs making the separate Uttarakhand movement activists happy to great extent as this demand of them has been material used after 24 years of the stare achieving separate state existence after it was carved out of Uttar Pradesh post sacrifice by 43 movement activists and hundreds / thousands of them going to jail demanding the Uttarakhand Rajya. Several of the Uttarakhand activists who were active in this movement and list their jobs etc have died and several of them having lost the smooth track of life with their families in immense financial doldrums. The bill will become the law after it receives the Governor’s consent. The chief minister has, also announced regarding increase in pensions of the Separate Uttarakhand Movement activists apart from granting th jobs in government service in future.The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami who made this possible finally, though after 24 long years and also fulfilling the much awaited pledge of his regarding Uniform Civil Code with Uttarakhand becoming ge very first state to do so in the entire country has written on social media, platform X ad below in Hindi : Bill passed in the Assembly yesterday to provide 10% horizontal reservation in government service to the identified agitators of Uttarakhand State Movement and all their eligible dependents. The state agitators have made an unprecedented contribution in the creation of separate Uttarakhand, our government has provided them various facilities and increased their pension. We are dedicated to the upliftment of the state agitators and their dependents. It may be recalled that good number of genuine movement activists from Delhi, the national national capital have been left out to be included in the official lists of “Genuine Uttarakhand Andolankaaries”, as they have not been entertained. It may be recalled that Delhi played a major role in getting the separate state demand fructified as majority of the relentless struggle took place in Delhi and elsewhere including Uttarakhand by Ukhand movement activists living in Delhi hailing from Garhwal and Kumaon.
