On the death anniversary of Rajesh Khanna, his fans and followers in different parts of the country paid tribute to their iconic superstar in their own way.
His fans and well-wishers in Delhi also celebrate his birth and death anniversaries by organizing “havans” and musical evenings to pay tribute to the superstar of the millennium, which also includes feeding hundreds of poor people, construction workers and people of the country .
His ardent fan Vipin Oberoi told that he was associated with Kaka for a long time. Senior journalist and Rajesh Khanna’s media advisor Sunil Negi also supports these events.
These commemorative events are typically held in the premises of “The Treat” in the Diplomatic Enclave behind the Jesus and Mary College, where Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a descendant of Nehru Gandhi, once studied.
Superstar Rajesh Khanna also used to frequently visit “The Treat” in Delhi and serve the poor on the occasion of his birthday.
He even inaugurated The Treat as the chief guest several years ago and really loved the place.

Rajesh Khanna used to consider Vipin Oberoi, the owner of The Treat, as his younger brother and visited here to encourage his business. He used to take so much care of his colleagues like Vipin. His death anniversary is being celebrated at the same venue on 18th July this year to pay tribute to the great first super state who mesmerized his millions of fans across the country by giving 25 super duper hits from 1969 to 72.
The ceremony will started in the afternoon and went on till evening.
Sunil Negi, who was a long-time associate with Rajesh Khanna, also recalled many moments spent with him and described that period as one of the best times of his life.
Several budding singers and fans of Rajesh Khanna aka Kaka paid tribute to the iconic star, their heartthrob by singing songs from their beloved films. Vipin Oberoi, the organizer of the glitzy evening, distributed food packets and served food to hundreds of poor people and construction workers in honor of his superstar, Congress leader and former Member of Parliament.
Singer and famous mimicry artist Ganga Thakur and singer Rajesh Dhasmana also rendered several songs in their mesmerizing voices. The program was coordinated by Ganga Thakur.
