613 die in 9 hill districts of Uttarakhand in the last few days with a village of Ekeshwar blk infecting 50
About more than fifty inhabitants of Kurkhyal village near Reethakhal in Ekeshwar block of Pauri Garhwal district are infected with Covid 90. This startling information has been revealed by the roving senior journalist and the state spokesman of Aam Admi Party. Ashutosh Negi has appealed to the villagers n others that incase they need any help or support they can tell him as he is in constant touch of the Sub Divisional Magistrate of the area.
It may be recalled that there have been several complaints of inhabitants of villages n local towns suffering for Covid 19 by regularly coughing and having high temperatures either not able to get themselves tested for Covid 19 or missing corona treatment due to either negligence, trauma or social stigma.
The local anti Covid health care authorities are allegedly both reaching there to provide the timely treatment to these infected people. Few days ago the MLA of Lansedowne Dalip Singh Rawat was approached by the Rikhnikhal block inhabitants complaining of people of several villages suffering from Covid 19 and respiratory problems, Several villages of Kot block are also suffering from this epidemic.
Similarly an environmental activist of Rishikesh Dehradun Doiwala has also written n spoken to the district magistrate Dr. Ashish Srivastava two days ago regarding lot of his village people coughing n in fever for the last several days not going for Covid tests further spreading it.
He had complained that the entire village ( Khadi Gaon) is in the influence of this disease. People hesitate to go for testing fearing Corona revelations said environmentalist Juglan. However, when the dead bodies of the village were diagnosed the reason for fatalities revealed Covid 19 infection. He had requested the district magistrate, Dehradun for sending a CMO with his team for Covid 19 tests of all the residents of his village n immediate treatment of those infected with Covid 19. He had also offered their Panchayati Community Hall n a school to convert it into Covid care centre. The eleven district of Uttarakhand including Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar have good number of cases and about 613 people in the villages have died so far with Corona out of total 425 fatalities in the hilly state’s 9 hill districts. This is horrific indeed. According to Dr. Anoop Nautiyal, former DG 108 Ambulance services and a renowned analyst Uttarakhand has the largest number of active cases 77 thousand, topping in the Himalayan States of the country even leaving behind the largest state UP in terms of number of cases in one lakh population.

According to the latest analysis posted in his Twitter handle by Dr. Anoop Nautiyal the Covid 19 pandemic is rapidly spreading in the nine hill districts of Uttarakhand in the interior villages with 5775 cases reported in a day terming them as 37 percent increase. However, analysts say that this number is quite less as compared to the exact number of cases as majority of the infectious patients don’t get them tested due to lack of medical options or shortage of financial means etc.
