Rs.2.89 increased in every unit of electricity over 200 units consumption in Karnataka !

The Karnataka government led by chief minister T. Sidharamaiah, has increased Rs. 2.89 on every unit of electricity consumed after two hundred units that has been made free on monthly basis. This news about hike in the rate by Rs 2.89 on every unit of electricity one consumes every month over two hundred units is being strongly criticised especially by the saffron party leaders who had lost at the hands of Congress party in Karnataka. It may be recalled that the Congress government has given two hundreds units electricity free on monthly basis but usually those consumers who frequently use electronic gadgets cross the 200 units mark every month. The government of Karnataka has enhanced Rs. 2.89 on every unit if electricity consumption crosses two hundred unit mark on monthly basis. It may be recalled that the Congress government has implemented all the five promises that were promised during and before the assembly elections costing Rs. 50000 crores every year. The five pre election promises that are reportedly cleared after coming to power in Karnataka are, free electricity upto 200 units every month, two thousand rupees assistance every month to the elder women of the family under Grah Lakshmi Scheme. Ten kg. rice to the family coming under BPL every month under Ann Bhaagya Scheme, Rs 3 thousand allowance to the unemployed Youth with degrees and Rs. 1500 allowance under the Yuva Nidhi Scheme. Free travel to women commuters in Karnataka state.
