Residents of TOLA village in Kirtinagar Block, Tehri Garhwal extreme jubilant after road sanctioned worth Rs 1.66 crores after 75 years.

The residents of TOLA village in Kirtinagar block of Tehri Garhwal , Uttarakhand are extremely happy these days as about five kilometres of road is reaching their village after 22 years of the state getting separate state status. The household women and senior citizens are especially in a jubilant mode because they had to go on foot to nearby markets and patients had to be carried in a make shift or “Cot”, or ” Chair” to hospital with four or more people carrying them on their soldiers on an uneven paths. The credit for this undoubtedly goes to the local MLA Vinod Kandari who says that he had taken a vow last time when he had become MLA to fulfill this long pending demand of the suffering residents of village TOLA when he once saw a pregnant woman delivering her baby on the way and herself unfortunately dying in the absence of road. He thanked the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for sanctioning Rs. 1 crore 66 lakhs for a road till TOLA village in Kirtinagar block and said that the work would start in the next three months for sure. The happy residents and women were seen dancing with the local MLA thanking him for this long pending demand to be fulfilled. The MLA, reached the village on 29 th March informing them of the new, road having been sanctioned. However, several villages of Uttarakhand are still devoid of roads but there are many villages which have roads but but no population due to mass exodus. Tola is the last village of Kirtinagar block and after sanctioning of the RAADAGAD TOLA road , the people of the village and nearby areas are extremely thrilled.
