THE BUS WAS CARRYING 52 BARATIES THOUGH IT HAD THE CAPACITY OF 32 PASSENGERS ONLY !

The Uttarakhand bus tragedy near Simdi village in Bironkhal under Pauri Garhwal district is the biggest tragedy in the recent times with more than thirty three ” baraaties”, maximum of them being relatives and near and dear ones of the bridegroom including 4 persons of music ( drum) party, travelling in a bus with the maximum capacity of 32 persons.

The number of the bus was UK04PA0501. The major reason for the accident is the belt of the driver getting torn or damaged and bus getting imbalanced due to over loading.

What is the biggest blunder committed by the ill fated bridegroom’s family, unfortunately is loading the bus with 52 baraaties as per the news floating in. In Damta few months ago a bus similarly fell into a deep gorge killing 25 passengers.

The most unfortunate bridegroom the centre of the biggest tragedy lost his brother and sister, a nephew and 28 close relatives not able to accompany the bride due to this heart wrenching tragedy that send shock waves all around.

Though it’s true that there are several reasons and unavoidable circumstances that lead to such tragic accidents like driver under the influence of liquor while driving, driving on high speed, bad conditions of roads and blind turns, drivers busing talking to fellow passengers while driving , over working hours, natural calamities etc but in majority of the accidents – over loading of passengers for monetary profits by bus drivers n conductors have been the the main reasons for occurances of these deadly accidents.

In such cases the bus becomes imbalanced and falls in gorge due to squeezed roads n some being in bad conditions.

The entire family is in trauma and deep anguish – though the bridegroom safe, alive to repent all his life – having seen the biggest tragedy in front of him. RIP

The prime minister Narendra Modi and UK CM had condoled the bereaved families of the tragically died persons, the Uttarakhand CM sanctioned Rs 2 lakh each to the deceased and Rs 1 lakh n 50000 respectively to the grievously and mildly injured.

  1. Whatever the reasons may behind this incident no one can alter the situation now except to express our sorrow but at the same time everyone should learn the lesson and have always in the minds while celebrating marriage or any group event.
