Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assures of the harshest punishment to the culprits of Ankita Bhandari !

The Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that his government will leave no stone unturned to stringently punish the guilty in the Ankita Bhandari murder case.

The chief minister was speaking to media in the Assembly secretariat. He said this is a gruesome murder.

The police is doing their duty seriously. Police has already arrested the culprits in this regard. We will ensure that the culprits of this heinous crime will be dealt with severely by not sparing anyone however mighty he might be.

We will work on the principle of impartial justice to the last extent and the guilty will not be spared at any cost inflicting severest of the punishment.

It may be recalled that originally hailing from Srikot village, innocent Ankita Bhandari has been murdered after outraging her modesty at a resort in Rishikesh by Pulkit Arya n his other accomplices.

The victim was reportedly missing for the last six days from her place of work, the case being with the revenue police earlier. According to the Director General of Police, Uttarakhand, Ashok Agrawal – the case was transferred to Uttarakhand police from revenue police on Thursday and in just 24 hours the case was cracked and the police arrested the three culprits viz Pulkit Arya, owner of the resort and his two accomplices involved in the alleged rape n murder of the innocent girl, reportedly missing since the last 6 days.

There have been tremendous protest in social media over this brutal murder of Ankit Bhandari with UKD delegation presenting a memorandum to the SDM demanding stringent n expeditious punishment to the guilty.

They have also demanded the resignation of the uncle of culprit Pulkit Arya who is the vice chairman, a state ministerial rank of state OBC Commission. Pulkit’s, father was the state minister in the previous state government.

The UKD is holding a torchlight procession at Dehradun on Friday evening. On the other hand agitated youths demonstrated at Pauri Township against the kidnapping and murder of Ankit Bhandari demanding fast track court hearing n no less than capital punishment to the culprits. Meanwhile in a tweet chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote in hindi : Today directed the DGP at secretariat to take stringent measures to punish the guilty of Rishikesh incident. Whoever committed this gruesome crime will be given most stringent punishment. The police is doing it’s work. Will ensure that the victim will be accorded complete justice tweeted Uttarakhand chief minister.
