An accidental tragedy has occured today in Paithani area of Pauri Garhwal district near Gram Sabha Bhatkoli Siraoli where five persons have tragically died on the spot and the sixth man in Paabo hospital.
About six grievously injured persons earlier brought to Paabo hospital through Ambulance were immediately refered to Pauri district hospital by the district magistrate Pauri Garhwal Vijay Kumar Jogdande, keeping in view their extremely serious condition.
According to the latest a severe accident had occured today at Bhatkot Siraoli killing six persons on the spot while grievously injuring six, now admitted in Pauri district hospital.
The DM Pauri and the SP, Police Yashwant Singh Chouhan had visited the district hospital to asses the health condition of the injured and talked to the chief medical officer instructing him to render maximum possible and best medical treatment to the injured.
According to the latest information, a vehicle of the marriage ceremony carrying twelve persons was returning back from Dobri, but the severe accident took place resulting in on the spot six deaths and six seriously injured.
Out of the total six injured, three – Kanchan, Diya and Veerender have been referred to AIIMS Rishikesh whereas three are in Pauri hospital.
Those who succumbed to this grave accident are : Ankit Kumar son of Shri Prakash Singh resident of Syoli Talli, district Pauri Garhwal. Hayat Singh son of Prakash Singh aged 37 years, resident of Siraoli Thana, paithani, Pauri Garhwal. Meharban Singh son of Kedar, age 42 years, resident of Siraoli Pauri Garhwal, Drishti, daughter of Kalam Singh, 5 year old, resident of Jakh, Maithani, Ambika and Monika, 18 n 20 years, Daughters of Kalam Singh, Jakh Maithani. The grievously injured are Ravindra Singh, 35 years, village Isoti, Kanchan, 20 years, village, Sirauoli, Priya, 13 years old and Kiran 15 years, both daughters of Ramesh Rawat of village Bagad, Diya, Rahul, father Hayat Singh aged 14 n 16 years of village Sirauli.
In Uttarakhand accidents have become order of the day with accidents occuring every second day killing people on the spot or in hospitals. The reason behind these deadly accidents usually are blind turns, driving after consuming liquor, driving in speed, being not attentive while driving, bad condition of roads etc.
In majority of the accidents coming back from marriages or going to attend them , it has been witnessed that drivers and the baraties are over drunk. Our deepest condolences to the bereaved families. RIP.
Meanwhile in another accident three out of ten persons coming to a hospital at Satpuli for correction/ treatment of eye ailments have been seriously injured and rest all safe with simple injuries. The Bolero in which they were travelling 4 women and six men, heading for Hans, Foundation hospital in Satpuli from near Tasila village Nyay Panchayat Bhoun met with the accident when it took three acrobats and finally hit a tree. This accident happened about ten kilometres before the above foundation hospital of Hans Foundation.
