7 feet long and four feet in height Bengal tiger’s dead body spotted in Champawat, Kumaon, Uttarakhand

A dead body of a seven feet long and four feet height Bengal tiger which is considered as a species in decline has been found in Champawat district in Kumaon Division on Wednesday. The dead body of this tall Bengal tiger was spotted by some village women who had gone to the jungles near Village Panchayat Dhakkna Badolaa and dungersati for fodder of their domestic pets buffaloes and cows etc. The dead tiger body was spotted near an old, archival water tank ( Naula) known as Ekhatya Noula from where the villagers fetch drinking water. On seeing the dead body of the seven feet long and four feet in height Bengal tiger the panicked women informed the villagers and the local police who informed the forest department officials. The forest department rescue team took the dead body of the tiger in its custody and are trying to ascertain the reasons behind this death. According to the DFO Navin Pant there is the possibility if the tiger dying after clash with some other tigers or wild animals etc. the DFO Pant said that this is for the first time that the Bengal tiger has been witnessed here. Now the forest department will try to find out heir exact numbers as this is considered to be the declining speices. There will be a in-depth DNA tests in this Bengal tiger to ascertain its exact species. The viscera examination will be conducted in Bareilly said the DFO. The forest department is worried to learn about Bengal tigers roaming in Uttarakhand jungles. Where have they come from is a moot question said DFO Pant. The spotting of the Bengal tiger reminds us of the tigress who was killed by Jim Corbet the prominent hunter of the call of the then British government who had killed 350 people. The former ( Retired) IPS former DGP Kerala K.S.Jangpangi expressed his astonishment over the news of Bengal tiger’s body found in Champawat district saying this is quite enigmatic. He said : Never heard of Bengal Tiger in jungles of Uttarakhand. How a dead body of Bengal Tiger found in Champawat district. This is an enigma that needs to be solved.This calls for immediate extensive research by forest department about the presence of tiger species in Uttarakhand.
