In Uttarakhand almost in every third family the youngsters join Indian Army, paramilitary forces or Indian Airforce, though majority are in Indian Army. Their contribution to secure our porous borders in unparalleled as several of them are sacrificed while in line of duty. Whether they are the wars, skirmishes at the border with enemy forces , or operations to flush out terrorists in strife torn Jammu and Kashmir or insurgency oriented North East in the past or present including dealing the unavoidable tense situations as in Manipur recently , few months ago there have been good number of young casualties. In one of such tragedies, a Braveheart of Indian Army from Someshwar, Almora, Uttarakhand posted in strife torn Manipur namely Kamal Singh Bhakuni was sacrificed after a bullet hit his head from mysterious sources. He had just returned to Manipur on his duty after twenty five days leave from his hometown. According to news reports his dead body draped in a national tricolour reached home s house at Someshwar sending shock waves all around with parents, relatives, near and dear ones in tears. According to army sources the Braveheart quiet young who belonged to Chunauda, Boonga village at Someshwar Almora died under mysterious circumstances after his dead body with bullet wound was found in Manipur. He was twenty four years old and was from 24 Kumaoni regiment. He was deputed in strife torn Manipur state. Om Shanti.
