12 eminent journalists including Vivek Shukla , film makers, theatre director, author and Cartoonist honoured with MEDIA FOR UNITY AWARDS by Nai Duniya Foundation

The Nai Dunia Foundation on 18 th April organised an outstanding event at the India International Centre and presented prestigious ” Media For Unity Awards” to twelve outstanding journalists, theatre director, authors, filmakers, and Cartoonist.

The chief guest on this ocassion was Justice Hrishikesh Roy who stayed in the event from the beginning to the end.

The guests of honour on this ocassion were the former Chief Election Commissioner Dr. S.Y Quereshi, Rahul Karad and eminent parliamentarian , author of several books, ex Under Secretary General of United Nations and Trivendram Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharur.

The event was organised by senior journalist , chief editor of Nai Duniya and former MP Shahid Siddiqui who is also the Chairman of Nai Duniya Foundation and Convenor Shafique
Ul Hassan.

The awardees of the Media Unity Awards who were felicitated at the IIC glittering event by the chief Guest justice Hrishikesh Roy, BCCI chairman, senior journalist, MP Rajiv Shukla, Barkha Dutt, renowned journalist , Shashi Tharoor, eminent parliamentarian, Shahid Siddique and others were : senior journalist , columnist and authors Vivek Shukla, Neerja Chowdhary, Zia US Salam, Fazil Hussain, Sudhir Mishra, professor Purushottam Aggrawal, Manjul, Sandeep Choudhary, Arvind Gaur, Rani Khannam, Saurabh Shukla, Dr. Wakeel Anwad.

The IIC hall was completely packed with distinguished audience hailing from Journalism, social activism, academics , institutions, thetre world, films and politics.
