Will Arvind Kejrival and his party survive now ?

SUNIL NEGI

After the seven Rajya Sabha MPs leaving Aam Admi Party a basic question arises and that question is : Is the party that emerged as a crusader against corruption twelve years ago is still intact and Arvind Kejrival as its leader with unanimous choice still acceptable ?

The moot point is that since the day Aam Admi Party has come into existence after few years of its being in power its important pillars such as Kumar Vishwas, Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav, professor Anand Kumar and several others at various levels of the organisation left Arvind Kejrival and AAP accusing him of being dictatorial, obstinate and even corrupt.

However, despite these leaders leaving AAP Arvind Kejrival was hardly affected adversely and came to power continuing his government for atleast two decades uninteruptingly though the BJP at the centre did destabilised it strongly by way of putting him, his ministers and MlAs behind bars on false and fictitious grounds, finally making the AAP lose in Delhi and achieving its set target of coming to power in Delhi NCT after 28 long years.

The liquor Scam related new excise policy of Delhi government when AAP ruled the NCT was the biggest blunder committed by Arvind Kejrival and his cohorts despite the hard fact that he has won and been discharged by the lower court on this count after tremendous struggle.

This liquor Scam actually denigrated the image of Arvind Kejrival and his cohorts to such an extent that despite his winning the case in the lower court terming his stand vindicated that he and his party has not taken a single rupee as bribe but finally he lost at the hands of the Delhi electorates which clearly signify that the people of Delhi do think that money changed hands and the AAP ‘s new excise policy and liquor Scam did happened.

The Delhi electorates who were extremely impressed and happy by Arvind Kejrival’s pro people health policy and education policy including free bills of water and electricity being made free up to 290 units has kept him on the power saddle for ten long years and even in Punjab this formula paid them healthily the political dividents by coming to power defeating Congress and Akali Dal.

But despite all this the dictatorial attitude of Arvind Kejrival and his decisions to wither off those important in his party has made AAP today a party with no political relevance.

The seven MPs of Rajya Sabha who left Arvind Kejrival in lurch creating a great crisis in his already shattered party are the production of Arvind Kejrival and were at one time his greatest loyals and admirers.

But today they are in the party to whom Raghav Chadha had publicly pronounced as the party of hooligans and illeterates.

The MP Ashok Mittal on whose house raids of ED were conducted few days ago is today seen welcoming the BJP party chief with bouquets and vice e versa.

In addition to this Arvind Kejrival has destroyed his relations with Rahul Gandhi and other partners of India National Developmental Inclusive Alliance constituents holding no significance in the national opposition setup.

Conclusively today the AAM Admi Party is truly in doldrums and the charishma of Arvind Kejrival is diminishing immensely.

A party born out of crusade against corruption holding the transparency and integrity tag is today the target by its own MPs labelled as the corrupt. There can’t be a biggest tragedy than this. What’s your take friends ?
