Virat and Anushka donate Rs 2 crores in their fund raising initiative for Covid survivors
A few days ago an eminent Australian cricketer of International fame Brett Lee had donated around Rs. 42 lakhs ( One Bit Coin) to aid the Covid 19 patients with Oxygen cylinders who desperately needed oxygen for survival. This generous initiative was lauded in India immensely by one and all.
Similarly, Bollywood’s prominent star Anushka Sharma and her husband eminent cricketer Virat Kohli have taken an initiative to arrange at least Rs seven crores initially through crowd funding requesting one and all nationally n internationally through a vedio to donate generously for this noble cause.
What is significant about this crowd fund raising initiative of these husband and wife celebrities of Bollywood n cricket is that they have themselves shown open hearts and donated Rs TWO CRORES to start with, inspiring others to follow suit.
Posting a vedio in their Instagram account, appealing to countrymen to generously donate in their fundraising initiative to provide relief n succour to Covid 19 survivors in the country both Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli wrote briefly : As our countrymen battle the second wave of Covid 19, and our healthcare systems are facing extreme challenges, it breaks my heart to see our people suffering. So Virat and I ( Anushka Sharma) have initiated a campaign # In this together, with Ketto, to raise funds for Covid 19 relief said prominent Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.
It may be recalled that this celebrity couple Virat and Anushka have come forward to jointly fight against the dreaded pandemic that is claiming unaccounted lives by raising funds to help them in their treatment and other welfare measures.
The Captain of Royal Challenge team Bangalore Virat Kohli has taken the initiative with his actress wife Anushka after the IPL was closed following some of its players having been infected with Covid 19.
This fund raiser will continue for merely seven days and the money collected will be adequately used for the medical treatment, providing oxygen cylinders n other pivotal support to Covid 19 patients to the extent maximum.
In the Instagram vedio shared by Anushka Sharma both husband wife have expressed their serious concern over the Covid tragedies and have appealed one and all to come forward and generously donate for the welfare n well being of Covid 19 patients in extreme distress, initially donating Rs 2 crores from their own pocket.
