UTTARAKHAND’S Handicapped ARTISTS GAVE EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE AS SINGERS, DANCERS AND MUSICIANS AT CHINMAYA MISSION on Sunday

A grand and highly mesmerising cultural evening of Uttarakhand was organised today at Chinmaya Mission Auditorium , Lodi Road under the auspices of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari language academy , National Capital Territory of Delhi in which hundred percent and partially handicapped artists of the himalayan state from Garhwali and Kumaon divisions performed their melodious songs and dances with physically impaired musicians playing excellently on various musical instruments. The Secretary of the Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Language academy Sanjay Garg who was the chief guest appreciated the regional melodious songs and dance performance of various artists and presented them the trophies in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Several singers including the renowned female singer of Uttarakhand who’d lost both of her legs in a very severe accident few years ago Kalpana Chouhan sang two songs encouraging the audience to dance in full entertaining spirit. The mesmerising songs in melodious voices kept the audience gourd to their seats for three hours.

Sudhir Gwari, a famous singer from Uttarakhand, who lost both his hands in an accident, also won everyone's heart with his impressive song.

Apart from the support from the Uttarakhand Academy Delhi about twenty artists were felicitated with trophies band Narendra Ladwal, an entrepreneur of Uttarakhand extended his kind gesture by donating Rs Fifty thousand to the handicapped artists. Roshni Chamoli of AAP Delhi donated Ra. 11000 as a mark of solidarity to the noble cause.

These artists had lost hands and legs in accidents like being electrocute, met with severe accidents or something from birth. Their outstanding performance indeed mesmerised and impressed one and all. The event was anchored by renowned musician of Uttarakhand Rajendra Chouhan. The Garhwali, Kumaoni amd Jaunsari language academic of Delhi titled this event and DIVYANG LOK UTSAV.
