UTTARAKHAND WELFARE ASSOCIATION OF UNITED KINGDOM ORGANISING A MESMERISING CULTURAL EVENT ON DIWALI IN LONDON, UK

The Uttarakhand Welfare Association of United Kingdom is organising a glittering evening on Sunday, the 12th of October, 2025 on the occasion of the pious festival of Deepawali. This grand event will focus on Uttarakhand’s mesmerising music and melodious songs.

Popular folk singers and leading musicians from Uttarakhand are going to be in London to perform on this festive ocassion and steal everyone’s hearts with their mellifluous voices. The eminent lady singer Meena Rana and the male singers of repute in Uttarakhand viz. Gajendra Rana, Govind Sharan, Sanjay Kumola and Sumit Gusain would give their outstanding performances at Blue Room Mumbai Gardens, Harrow, London, United Kingdom, HA2 6LY.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami has sent his congratulatory message to the UWAUK and extended his blessings and good wishes for the event and for the families attending the same. In the message the Chief Minister has emphasized that this event represents more than entertainment – it embodies a commitment to fostering genuine unity within the community. UWAUK recognises that in today’s world it is more important than ever to create spaces where all parivaar member can come together, celebrate the shared values, and strengthen the bonds that make us one Uttarakhandi parivaar.

The leadership’s message is clear: “When we stand together as one community/parivaar, we are stronger. When we celebrate together, we build the foundation for a brighter future for all.”

This event serves as a living example of our shared vision – where artistic expression and community participation merge to create something beautiful and meaningful.
The musicians echo this sentiment using their talents to bridge differences and remind us that harmony in music reflects the harmony we can achieve together.

UWAUK feels that by attending this sparkling evening of Uttarakhand’s folk songs and dances, one is not just enjoying music – one is participating in a demonstration of community/parivaar solidarity that are essential for our collective growth.
