Uttarakhand, Foundation day celebrated with full vigour and vitality at Rohini !
The Parvatiya Brarthra Sanstha ( Rgd) organised a glittering function with full pomp and show at Sector 18, Rohini to commemorate the 22 nd Foundation Day of Uttarakhand.
The former chief minister of Uttarakhand and Lok Sabha MP from Garhwal Tirath Singh Rawat was the chief guest on the ocassion.
The three term lawmaker from Rohini Vijendra Gupta and former Councillor of MCD twice Mr. Pandey, renowned social activists and entrepreneurs K. S. Bisht and Tripen Singh Bhandari were the guest of honour.
The function was organised successfully with the special efforts n contribution of social activist and entrepreneur Janardhan Sharma an Uttarakhand separate movement activist as well. The programme was ably anchored by Mr. Rajesh Dandriyal.
The cultural activists and several Uttarakhand artists in their colourful attires performed attractive folk dances on melodious, Garhwal and, Kumaoni songs sung by male and female melodious singer enthralling on and all, leading to several women n men dance to their lovely regional melodious songs and musical tunes. Several Uttarakhand’s social activists, artists and office bearers of Parvatiya Brathra Sanstha were also felicitated on this ocassion.
The former chief minister and Pauri Garhwal MP Tirath Singh Rawat who came here from Dehradun lauded the organisers, artists and social activists for making the evening highly entertaining, full of regional melodious songs and colourful folk dances.
Extending his gracious thanks to former prime minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee for giving separate hill state of Uttarakhand that was made possible by the protracted efforts of thousands of separate Uttarakhand state activists, men n women and about 43 sacrifices on 9 th November 2000, Lol Sabha MP Rawat lauded prime minister Narendra Modi for giving special economic impetus for the overall development of the himalayan state by not only allocating a massive budget and new developmental schemes and projects but also visiting Uttarakhand and its historic religious destinations for the 6 th time incessantly thus exhibiting as to how much he loves Uttarakhand and its people.
Prominent among those present on this occasion were Mr. Medical, Janardhan Sharma, Mr. Jaikrit Singh Routhan, Rajendra Bhandari, Sunil Negi, senior journalist, Jagdish Sati, Surendra Rawat, Pradeep Joshi, P. C. Tiwari Mr. Thakur, Director NAFED, Rajesh Dandriyal, Mr. Lunthi etc. The event was a grand success and the participants n audience enjoyed the evening to the fullest glued to their seats till the end.
