The first season of “Atithi Satkaram,” which is the first Hindi web series shot in the Uttarakhand landscape, has been released with eight episodes on the Hungama Gold Channel.
Written and directed by Jagdish Tiwari, the web series was filmed in and around Satya Vihar, Haldwani in July 2024, following a pilot project in December of the previous year.
The story is about a family living in small towns connected to larger cities, including Haldwani, Kotdwar, Ramnagar, and Dehradun, showcasing the culture of Uttarakhand in modern times. Through this series, the creators aim to remind viewers of the love and traditions of the mountains, as well as the diminishing values of relationships in nuclear families. The series also highlights the need for land laws and encourages people from the hills to return to their ancestral homes and barren lands.

In addition, the series shed light on various government schemes and their positive outcomes while expressing concerns about the growing indifference and negligence of the general public toward their responsibilities.
Producer Pooja Singh stated that the primary objective of the web series is to depict the traditions and cultural values of the mountains and to connect mountain artists to Hindi cinema. Most of the cast members, besides those from Mumbai and Delhi, are from hill regions like Haldwani, Almora, and Kotdwar.
The music in the series features devotional songs and Holi tunes by Govind Digari and Khushi Joshi, and the title track is sung by Diwan Kanwal and Madhu Beriya Sha. Cinematographer Dhruv Tyagi noted that this is the first web series set in Uttarakhand, created using advanced digital cameras, tracks, trolleys, drones, and lighting equipment.
The cast includes artists from Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Mumbai, such as Kalyani Gangola, Aditya Nahar, Anil Ghildiyal, Sushila Rawat, Padmendra Rawat, Devki Sharma, Kusum Chauhan, Raja Harshvardhan, Bindra, Kismat, Vimal Uniyal, Devendra Sonu, Rajesh Arya, Jagdish Tiwari, Dhruv Tyagi, Pooja Singh, Rajesh Arya, Khushal Singh Bisht, Ganesh Bhatt, Kiran Lakhera, Jeevan Danu, Lachhu Pahadi, Govind Digari, Khushi Joshi, Harish Singh Rana, Joga Bisht, Bhanu Pahadi, Pratibha Pant, Ram Kumar Bashishth, Girish Bhatt, Bhupal Singh, Archana, Mili, Sahil Joshi, Jagdish Pandey, Harish Bharti, and many others.
