UTTARAKHAND CM announces various developmental schemes worth Rs. 544 crores in Tehri Garhwal while the state’s fiscal deficit crosses Rs. 73 thousand crores which was merely Rs 612 crores in 2002

While Uttarakhand’s fiscal deficit has crossed Rs 73000 crore limit which was merely Rs. 612 in the year 2001-02 , the Uttarakhand chief ministers of successive governments have been announcing various schemes indiscriminately not endeavouring to generate its own funds through various healthy and productive people centric schemes. What is worth mentioning here is that the state government majorly banks on annual collection of Rs 3000 crores from the sale of liquor in the state which has unfortunately spoiled several families and confronted series of protest demonstrations from women and social organisations earlier when attempts were made to open liquor shops in the interiors of the state. The annual budget of the state for 2023 was 65, 571 crores less than the fiscal deficit amount. As a sequel to these incessant declarations worth hundreds of crores of rupees, the chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami gifted the people of Tehri Garhwali Uttarakhand Rs. 533 crores, 20 lakhs and 89 thousand in various developmental schemes inaugurating n laying foundation stones of them, today. These developmental projects of 6 legislative assemblies of There Garhwal, Uttarakhand sound not more than populist announcements as hundreds of such schemes were announced earlier as well prior to assembly elections and thereafter after the elections by the present CM and previous CMs but not having been implemented at the ground level say opposition leaders. The CM has inaugurated 45 schemes and laid foundation stone of 93 new projects which involved Rs. 158 crores and 21 lakhs of inauguration speech and Rs. 375 crores schemes of which foundation stones were laid. In Tehri, Ghansyali, Dhanaulti, Pratap Nagar, and, Dev Prayer assembly constituencies Rs. 56 crores, 6 laks, Rs. 22 crores, Rs 165 crores, Rs 77 crores, one hundred crores and thirty six lakhs and Rs. 47 crores and 8 lakhs were spent including several other schemes were inaugurated and foundation stones laid. Diring the inauguration and stone laying ceremonies including a public meeting at PIC ground the cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal, Prem Chand Aggrawal, Shakti Lal Shah, Kishore Upadhyay, Vinod Kandari, Pritam Singh Panwar etc all MLAs accompanied the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
