Union state minister Sanjiv Baliyan lost two brothers in a week due to dreaded pandemic

The union minister of state for animal husbandry, diarying and fisheries elected to Lok Sabha from Mujaffarnagar, UP in 2019 for the second time Sanjiv Baliyan has lost two brothers back to back during these most challenging pandemic times, leaving behind a trail of anguish, shock and despair in his entire family.

According to the latest news union state minister Sanjiv Baliyan’s cousin brother has succumbed to Covid 19 just four days ago while his another brother Rahul Kutbi who was admitted in AIIMS Rishikesh in serious condition after having been infected with Covid 19 breathed his last today. Sanjiv Baliyan’s elder brother Jitendra Singh was recently elected village head from Kutbi in Mujaffarnagar.

Both the brothers had been infected during the Punchayati elections in which they were busy. The death of both the brothers of union state minister Sanjiv Baliyan has sent shock wave across Mujaffarnagar and western Uttar Pradesh.

The brother who succumbed to the dreaded pandemic today’s was in serious condition for the last five days after contracting Covid 19 during the local elections. After battling for life for several days he met his sad end today at AIIMS Rishikesh.

In 2014 after winning as LS MP Sanjiv Baliyan was appointed as state agriculture minister but was ousted from the union cabinet by PM Modi after Baliyan’s name was allegedly associated with Saharanpur communal riots as charged by his political opponents. However, after winning in 2019 election, he was re inducted as minister of state for animal husbandry, Dairying and fisheries, not considered to be an important ministry.
