Union civil aviation minister Scindia welcomes 250 students stranded at war torn Ukraine at Delhi airport
The second flight air lifting the evacuees, majority of them students at Delhi Airport from the war hit Ukraine reached last night with the Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia accompanied by state minister Murlidharan welcomed and received the second batch of evacuees at Delhi international airport bringing them back home safe and sound. He interacted with all the evacuees and assured them that the prime minister Narendra Modi is with them wholeheartedly with Indian government doing it’s best to help return the stranded Indians safe and sound to their mother land. He also addressed them inside the plane when they reached the Delhi airport early morning. In series of tweets union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia wrote : the prime minister Narendra Modi ji along with all the government agencies are working round the clock to ensure every Indian is brought back home quick and safe under operation Ganga. In another tweet he said : Interacted with student evacuees last night and requested them to give strength and confidence to their friends back in Ukraine. The Government of India will leave no stone unturned till we bring everyone of our people back home under operation Ganga tweeted Jyotiraditya Scindia. Prior to this the first natch of 219 student evacuees were given a send off from Romania by the Indian ambassador yesterday namely Rahul Srivastava saying that they should not forget the 26 th February, the day that will always give them strength to fight any challenge they confront in their lives in future.
The third flight of evacuees from Romania will reach India shortly as there are still about 15000 to 16000 people stranded in Ukraine or the neighbouring country desperately waiting to be safely sent back to India.
