Ukhand’s annual budget is Rs 60000 crores, unemployment allowance to 8 lakh youths on monthy basis comes to Rs 4800 crores, which is merely 8% of the budget says AAP. Why not to give them?

While elections are round the corner in Uttarakhand just five months left, the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party, main opposition party Congress and Aam Admi Party leaving no stone unturned to ensure their respective parties’ victory.

While BJP has claimed to win again on 60 seats keeping its target known to the people and the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami making good number of announcements termed as populists by opposition parties, the Congress party banking on anti incumbency factor of the ruling party, hectically busy in its Parivartan Yatras and establishing direct contact with the masses led by veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat and state Congress president Ganesh Godiyal are extremely confident of grabbing power in Uttarakhand.

The third new entrant in Uttarakhand’s election politics Aam Admi Party for the very first time contesting on all seventy seats with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also tightening his belt declaring popular retired colonel Ajay Kothiyal as its prospective CM has also made solid inroads in the vote bank of both Congress and BJP by announcing freebies in electricity consumption of monthly 300 units, followed by Rs 5000 monthly unemployment allowance to one member of a family as well as giving guarantee of providing one lakh jobs to the unemployed youths within six months of coming to power.

While all the three main contesting parties are gathering huge crowds in their political rallies and gatherings but being a new entrant in Uttarakhand election politics, Aam Admi Party’s presence has impressed one and all, especially voters being inclined towards them watching the successful Delhi example of granting freebies and implementing them in toto in education, power, water and health sector etc.

Not only this but while Congress and BJP who’d ruled in Uttarakhand alternatively during the last twenty one years are despite being national parties with sufficient cadre, mass base and resources are factionalism ridden, the AAM ADMI PARTY is free from this drawback moving ahead ferociously giving assurances with regard to freebies and concessions and ensuring a corruption free government, concentrating on employment generation and guarantee which is the main demand of Uttarakhand youths who had been fooled and betrayed during the last twenty years including making them suffer for want of health and socio economic avenues and guarantees as allegations levelled by Aam Admi chief Arvind Kejrival.

The women and agricultural sector and general people had also suffered adversely longing for change of government in Uttarakhand say political analysts.

However, it remains to be seen as to how will the majority population go about for change in favour of Congress or AAP or favouring a Hindu oriented party once again, though in Uttarakhand’s political history this has never happened during the last two decades with BJP and Congress forming governments turn by turn after every assembly elections with electorates preferring change of the ruling political dispensation.

However, a programme and freebies oriented AAP on Delhi pattern is these days circulating a logical poster in social media trying to convince it’s electorates on employment front saying that the total annual budget of state is Rs. 60000 crores and the total number of unemployed in Uttarakhand are eight lakhs.

As assured by Aam Admi Party, if it comes to power it will give Rupees 5000 every month to these eight lakh unemployed as unemployment allowance, till they are not provided jobs. This comes to Rs 4800 crores annually which is just 8% of the state’s annual budget. The poster of AAP says this is the money stolen by BJP and Congress during the last two decades.

Why not to give it to the unemployed youths says the AAP poster being circulated in the social media with the picture of its prospective chief minister face Colonel Ajay Kothiyal.
