UKD outspoken in case of abetment to suicide at Ghurdadi Engineering college, Pauri Garhwal


The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami at the state capital Dehradun urging to initiate strict action in the case of harassing and abetting the suicide of a female employee in Ghurdadi Pauri Garhwal Engineering college

UKD workers under the leadership of its leader Shivprasad Semwal sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the District Magistrate.

Uttarakhand Kranti Dal’s national spokesman Shivprasad Semwal said that in April 2019, Assistant Professor Manisha Bhatt was harassed and abetted to commit suicide in the ECE Department of Engineering College, Ghurdori, Pauri Garhwal, UKD demanded strict action from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Semwal said that all possible evidence sites should be sealed immediately.

UKD Vice President Sunil Dhyani has demanded that the responsible employees and officers of the college who are accused of harassment in this matter should be arrested immediately.

UKD leader Manoj Kumar said that if the arrest is not made soon, the workers of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal will be forced to agitate.

UKD leader Sameer Mundepi said that women are feeling most insecure in Uttarakhand. UKD has also demanded activation of the committees formed to stop the harassment.
