Twenty Members of Parliament of “INDIA” bloc left for two day visit to strife torn Manipur on 29 and 30 July
While the members of parliament in both houses have not allowed the houses to run, adamant on their demands for prime minister to make a statement on critical Manipur situation and opening of the the discussions after the admittance of the no confidence motion tabled by the INDIAN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENTAL INCLUSIVE AGENDA block, a delegation of twenty members of parliament of non BJP opposition parties have left for Manipur to visit the various affected areas in the strife torn state of North Eastern region and personally meet the victims and victimised families at the ground zero and return to Delhi with their latest fact funding report to aware the government and both houses of parliament including the media.
Prior to leaving for Manipur the Congress leader and MP from Assam Gaurav Gogoi who is also the deputy leader of Congress in Lok Sabha demanded an in depth impartial probe into the massive violence and rapes of women in Manipur by a retired Supreme Court Judge further adding that Bhartiya Janata Party is misguiding the countrymen and portraying a wrong picture that everything is alright in Manipur whereas the fact remains that the situation is absolutely contrary.
He said that the 20 member delegation of MPs of the constituents of INDIA to Manipur will personally meet the affected people in the valley as well as the hilly areas and will apprise the parliament of the latest genuine situation after meeting and interacting with cross section of the people especially the victims and their families.
The twenty members of parliament of various non BJP opposition parties who have left for Manipur will be visiting the strife torn state on 29 n 30 July and will return with the latest reports. The members in the delegation are : Indian National Congress, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, Gaurav Gogoi, Rajiv Ranjan ( Lallan) Singh , JD (U) , Sushmita, Dev, Trinamool Congress, Kanimojhi Karunanidhi ( DMK), Santosh Kumar P. CPI, A. A. Rahim, CPM, Manoj Kumar Jha, RJD, Javed Ali Khan, SP, Mahua Majhi, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, P. P. Mohammed Faizal, NCP, Aneel Prasad Hedge ( JDU) E. T. Mohammed Basheer, IUML, NK Premachandran, RSP, Sushil Gupta AAP, Arvind Sawant, Shiv Sena, D. Ravi Kumar, VCK, Jayant Singh, RJD, Phulo Devi Netam, INC and Thiru Thai Thirumavalavam, VCK.
The INDIA block MPs are questioning the BJP leaders especially prime minister Narendra Modi as to why are they protecting the Manipur CM Biren Singh despite so much of violence and hundreds of villages burnt including about 150 deaths, three women’s naked parade on the streets including their obnoxious rapes and thousands of people becoming homeless.
