The farmer’s income did not double, but the price of fertilizer definitely quadrupled!

Farmers in North India are facing shortage of fertilizers and black marketing for sowing wheat! Before the formation of the BJP government at the Centre, he had been singing the same tune that his government would improve the condition of farmers. As the CM of Gujarat, he had not only raised the issue of MSP, but also promised to double the income of farmers, provide them a market for transparent and direct sale, waive off farmers’ loans and solve all their problems. He had also accused his previous central governments of doing injustice to farmers. PM Modi has clearly stated in his speeches many times that his government is committed to empowering the farmers of the country. But if we talk about reality, the way the problems of farmers are not only increasing today, but the way they are facing inflation and shortage of fertilizers for the third time under the Modi government at the Centre, is not only condemnable but also a matter of concern. Today, there is a sudden shortage of essential fertilizers like DAP and Urea in the entire country at a time when farmers are worried about sowing wheat crop. Farmers are not getting fertilizers despite standing in queues all night and then the whole day. Private shopkeepers are doing black marketing of fertilizers. Farmers are being forcibly given other fertilizers at high prices instead of DAP. I remember that when the prices of fertilizers were increased several times a few years ago and Prime Minister Modi was being promoted on it, then the Modi government at the center did a drama of giving more subsidy on fertilizers to the farmers and patted its back and claimed that farmers will not be allowed to face shortage of fertilizers, but despite this, farmers are facing a huge shortage and black marketing of fertilizers for the third time in about 10 and a half years of Modi government. It seems that the Modi government at the center wants to break the back of the farmers again by increasing the prices of fertilizers.
