Supertech twin towers razed to ground like house of cards in just 12 seconds. Justice finally prevailed !
The Super Tech twin towers after losing their legal battle in the highest court of the country for its illegal construction, throwing to winds the legal building norms and massive violation of building and construction laws etc, have been perished to ground on Sunday afternoon in just 9 seconds using the water fall implosion technology with both the highest buildings to fall in India – even taller than historic Qutub Minar in seconds with thousands of people watching the technological fall of twin towers like the building of play cards from their house balconies, nearby locations and on television channels. The height of the buildings was more than Qutub Minar measuring 103 meters in height. According to the latest news the Supertech twin towers had been rigged with 3,700 kilograms of explosives which triggered the vertical straight falling down of the building with massive dust like a fall of house of cards. The 3,700 kgs of explosives was fitted inside seven thousand holes inside both these towers ( buildings) .
The fall of these twin tall buildings generated about 55000 tons of dust which took about 12 to 15 minutes to settle down. While the traffic on both sides of these towers were stopped for about half an hour when the explosion was on, about 7000 people of the adjoining localities shifted out to be allowed to re enter their localities at 6.00 in the evening till everything settles down nicely. According to sources the builder had planned to construct 40 floors in each tower in each tower. However, some floors couldn’t be constructed due to the apex court’s orders while, some were broken down manually , ahead of the explosion. One of the towers has 32 floors while the other had 29 floors. While the apex is 103 metres tall, Ceyane stands at 97. The plan was for 900 plus flats majority of whom were booked and payment received by the builders. The supreme court has assured the allottees to get back their total depost money with interest. The structures were demolished under the 100 crore insurance policy. The total cost involved in the demolition exercise comes to about Rs 20 crores while the cost of loss after the building demolition comes to Rs. 50 crores. A Mumbai based company Edifice has been tasked with the work of demolition of Supertech twin towers. Though the legal battle in other courts and finally in supreme court lasted for 9 to 10 years but the people and the law won with the builders finally penalised heavily by way of demolition of their twin towers as well as payment to be done to the buyers along with interest. Justice finally prevailed.
