On the occasion of completion of three years of the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami government, the development booklet with the title ‘3 years of service, good governance and development’ published by the Information Department was released in Dehradun. This program was also broadcast live in various districts including Uttarakhand Niwas in Delhi.

The booklet gives a detailed description of the various public welfare schemes, infrastructure development, innovations and initiatives dedicated to the public of the Uttarakhand government. Efforts made in various fields to ensure the progress of the state have been included in it.

Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Ajay Tamta, the chief guest at Uttarakhand Niwas on this ocassion, paid tribute to the immortal martyrs of the formation of the state and the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the country.

He also paid homage on behalf of the people of the state to former Prime Minister – Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who laid the strong foundation of Uttarakhand.

He said that many important steps have been taken in the field of infrastructure, education, health, tourism, industry and employment in the state, which has accelerated the overall progress of the state.

More than 30 policies have been implemented in various sectors in the state. Due to this, Uttarakhand is moving forward in the direction of all-round development. Today our state is emerging as a big hub of wedding destination, adventure tourism, film production said Ajay Tamta.

He added : The unprecedented organisation of the 38th National Games was held in Uttarakhand lauded by one and all adding further that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said from the land of Baba Kedarnath, ‘Given the rapid development of infrastructure and the decisions taken by the state government, the third decade of the 21st century will belong to Uttarakhand.

Stressing in the promotion of tourism in the Himalayan state Ajay Tamta said after the completion of the ropeway construction projects from Gaurikund to Kedarnath and Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib, pilgrims will have ease of movement and religious tourism will also get a boost in the state. Chardham Yatra is a major base of Uttarakhand’s economy emphasised the union state minister Tamta.

Tamta further said that after the completion of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, the journey from Delhi to Dehradun can be completed in just two to two and a half hours. Work on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project is progressing rapidly. Soon the dream of rail in the mountains is going to be realised added Tamta in his inaugural address.

Lauding the railway project from Rishikesh to Badrinath Tamta said the dream of railways in the mountains is going to be realised soon. Work is in progress to develop Jolly Grant and Pantnagar airports as international airports. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promoted winter tourism by visiting Mukhwa, the home of Maa Ganga, and the border area Harshil Valley.

He said that it is our good fortune that along with the all-round development of Uttarakhand, we have always received the guidance and support of the Prime Minister in furthering its spiritual and cultural heritage. Uttarakhand has become the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code.

The state government is working rapidly in every field for women empowerment. Efforts are being made to ensure proper representation of the daughters of the state in every department by giving them 30 percent horizontal reservation in government jobs said Tamta, union state minister.

Appreciating the government’s initiatives to empower the wimen the union state minister Ajay Tamta said : To empower women financially, loans up to Rs 5 lakh are being given to women self-help groups without interest. Under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, more than 1 lakh women in Uttarakhand have become lakhpatis.

The state government has implemented strict land laws which will curb land mafias. Competitive Examination Ordinance-2023 has been implemented to ensure transparency in competitive examinations in the state.

This law, implemented in favor of deserving youth, is very strict; in which a provision of imprisonment up to 10 years and a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh has been made for cheating.

Praising Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Mr. Tamta said that he has been receiving the blessings of the god-like people of Devbhoomi for the all-round development of the state and under his leadership the state is continuously moving towards development.

It is our resolve that by the silver jubilee year 2025, Uttarakhand should be successful in establishing its identity as the leading state of the country.

On this occasion, many dignitaries including Resident Commissioner Mr. Ajay Mishra, Media Coordinator of the Chief Minister in Delhi Mr. Madan Mohan Sati, Senior Manager of Uttarakhand Niwas Mrs. Geeta Kala, BJP spokesperson Mr. Virendra Bisht were present.

The guests present discussed the positive changes taking place in the development of Uttarakhand and highlighted the impact of various schemes being run in the state.
