Rouse Avenue court rejects chargesheets against Sonia and Rahul in National Herald case

The Congress party and the Nehru Gandhi family got a total relief in the National Herald case today when the Rouse Avenue Court outrightly turned down the Enforcement Directorate ‘s petition of chargesheets against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in the protracted National Herald case terming it completely inadmissible on the ground that the complaint is protracted filed by Dr.Subramaniam Swamy on baseless charges with no required FIR filed in the case.

Hearing the case on Tuesday the Rouse Avenue
District Court clearly ruled that the enforcement directorate’s complaint is hereby rejected terming it as inadmissible as it originated from a 2012 private complaint by the saffron party leader Subramaniam Swamy without the lodging of the required FIR for an offence of predicate nature.

The ED had filed the money laundering complaint against Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi.

According to the Timeline :The case is long-standing, which includes allegations that Young Indian Private Limited, where the Gandhis hold 76% shares, acquired control of debt-ridden Associated Journals Limited — the publisher of the National Herald. The acquisition was for a sum of Rs 50 lakh, gaining properties worth over Rs 2,000 crore said the complaint filed by BJP leader Dr. Subramaniam Swamy several years before.

The Congress party has issued a long statement on X after this judgment welcoming it whole heartedly saying that the truth has prevailed adding further that the malafide and illegality of the Modi govt stands fully exposed.

Proceedings of ED against the Congress leadership – Smt Sonia Gandhi Ji and Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji, in the Young Indian case have been found completely illegal and malafide by the Honourable Court.

The court has ruled that the ED case is without jurisdiction, it has no FIR without which there is no case.

This politically motivated prosecution by the Modi government over the last decade, of the principal opposition party stands exposed before the people of India.

No case of money laundering, no proceeds of crime and no movement of property – all baseless charges that have been a part of political witch hunt, propaganda, reputation assassination and campaign which stands defeated today.
Congress party and our leadership are committed to fighting for truth and for rights of every Indian – we cannot, and will not be ever intimidated – because we fight for the truth. Satyamev Jayate said the statement.

The chief of the Congress party and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge after hearing the judgement said when false allegations were leveled to
defame the National Herald, the Congress
party, and our leaders, I had said the
same thing then too-that if we didn’t fear
the British, what are these BJP-RSS or Modi-Shah worth?
Today, the court too has declared the Modi government’s actions illegal and foiled this conspiracy hatched with the malicious
intent of political revenge.
No matter how much force this
“vote-stealing government”employs to crush democracy, we will continue our fight for 1.4 billion Indians and to save this Constitution.
The victory of truth is certain wrote Kharge on X.
Vociferous Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi reacted saying. There is nothing in the National Herald case. The government is forcibly dragging this case. No one can withdraw money from the National Herald company, no one can use it, and no one can sell anything. Everyone knows this truth, the judiciary knows it too. In the end, the truth will come before everyone said Priyanka while reacting to the media.
