Rajinder Nagar by-election result goes in favour of AAP, raises Kejrival’s, spirits high! Durgesh Pathak defeats his BJP rival by 11,555 votes
The victory of Aam Admi Party candidate Durgesh Pathak in the by-election from Rajendra Nagar, the seat that fell vacant after its previous MLA Raghav Chadha became the Rajya, Sabha MP from Punjab, has unambiguously indicated once again that the AAM ADMI PARTY and its national convenor as well as Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has full say in Delhi politics and people of the national capital loving him as before. The Bhartiya Janata Party’s candidate Rajesh Bhatia has lost to Durgesh Pathak by 11,555 votes. The Congress candidate Prem Lata was a distant third. This victory has once again filled tremendous confidence among AAP leaders and workers in Delhi especially after the Delhi government health minister Satyendra Jain being behind bars on alleged money laundering charges with AAP leaders, especially CM Arvind Kejriwal, and deputy CM Manish Sisodia blaming the government of vindictiveness, for opposing the BJP led NDA government on important burning issues. Various reports after the election of Rajinder Nagar there were speculations of BJP winning this seat by the party leaders n supporters while AAP was confident of their victory but Congress party wasn’t sure to win at all. There were political analysis that if AAP loses this by-election, not only will the name and prestige of AAP n its leader Arvind Kejriwal be damaged but he will not be able to spread AAP’s tentacles in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. But now, AAP leader has gained momentum again after Punjab’s, towering victory earlier. Meanwhile, the political analysts are saying that the increasing inflation and back firing of the Agnipath defence recruitment scheme including AAP’s, good performance in Delhi has lead to AAP’s, victory and the impact of BJP government at the centre could not work positively, if any. Thanking the voters of Delhi and Rajendra Nagar Arvind Kejriwal had tweeted in Hindi : Gratitude of Rajendra Nagar electorates from the bottom of my heart. I am obliged by the extreme love of Delhites which gives us, inspiration to work hard more and serve the society. The people have defeated their dirty politics and appreciate the good work. Thank you Rajendra Nagar, Thank you Delhi tweeted Delhi CM.
In the meantime, the results of the by-election of three Lok Sabha seats and 7 assembly seats in various states have also been declared. The BJP has registered it’s victory on the Rampur seat by around 52 thousand votes and in Azamgarh too the victory chances of BJP seems to be high. In Punjab’s Sangrur Lok Sabha seat the AAP suffered huge setback losing this, seat to Shrimani Akali Dal ( Amritsar) candidate. In Tripura out of four assembly byelections BJP has won on three seats with Congress winning on one. On Andhra Pradesh’s Atmakur seat USR Congress won whereas in Delhi’s, Rajendra Nagar seat AAP lodged its victory against the BJP rival by 11,555 votes.
It’s a nice political analysis!
