The reunion of two cousins of the leading Indian political family that ruled India for several decades, the late Rajiv Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi scions fructified at Lord Shiva’s home outside Kedarnath shrine, which was though short lived, but both the brothers, meeting after long time exchanged pleasantries and Rahul showing his immense affection towards Varun’s daughter and his wife ( niece and bhabhi). Former Congressman president Rahul Gandhi is in Kadarnath for the last three days seeking blessings of Lord Shiva and Varun Gandhi, MP from Pilibhit had visited Kedarnath yesterday with his wife and daughter, still staying there enjoying the chilled cold weather and serene beauty of the Himalayas.

Rahul Gandhi and Varun Gandhi including their families have been at loggerhead for the last several decades, particularly after Sanjay Gandhi’s demise. Menaka Gandhi had serious, differences with the then prime minister and her mother in law Indira Gandhi and had to vacate the then PM house on Indira Gandhi’s instructions. Though and BJPite, the tone of Varun Gandhi changed against his own government during the farmers agitation probably because he wasn’t given much weightage within the party and her mother relieved of ministerial portfolio in 2019 after holding the berth of women and child development from 2014 to 2019.
Both the brothers met on Tuesday and had offered prayers together reveal sources. However, the meeting though very cordial between them have been for a short time with Rahul saying – though we meet rarely but our relations are quite cordial and civil. The meeting between both the brothers of Nehru family triggered speculation about their political reunion but their union at Kedardham was a coincidence with no political overtones reveal sources.

While Rahul Gandhi, Varun Gandhi, a union state minister communications Dev Singh Chauhan, former MLA Sangeet Som and a sitting Gorakhpur MP Kailash Paswan had visited Kedarnath Dham including the Gupta brothers who’d donated several kg gold to be fitted in Kedarnath temple two days ago the controversial saint Bageshwar Dham, Niranjani Akhada chief Mahamandleshwar and Parmarth Niketan saint Swami Chidanand also paid their obeisance at Lord Shiva’s temple and Badrinath Dham with the last three days being too hectic here. The prime minister has visited Kedarnath Dham five times.
