Rahul to address two massive rallies at Almora and Pauri Garhwal on 4 th June, 2026
First Almora rally will be in the morning at 12. AM and the Pauri rally after 2.00 PM
The Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi will be addressing two massive rallies in Almora and Pauri Garhwal in order to cover both the Kumaon and Garhwal regions of Uttarakhand.
His sister and Congress general secretary, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi had addressed a massive rally at Shrinagar Garhwal in 2022 where the prime minister Narendra Modi had also addressed a huge rally with the present Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal losing and the BJP current cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat winning.
In 1974 when Indira Gandhi was the prime minister and H.N.Bahuguna was the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand was in undivided State ( UP) she had on the invitation of the Bahuguna addressed a massive rally on Raansi ground, Kandoliya, Pauri.
The women curious to see Indira Gandhi had come from the surrounding villages in large numbers wearing gold Galaband and other jewels.
Indira Gandhi had then said Bahugunaji you said that Garhwali people are poor and need to progress but here I am seeing women wearing expensive Gold ornaments.
How can they be poor ?
This rally was a great success as the then PM Indira Gandhi was extremely popular in the hilly regions and so was the then UP CM Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna.
Rahul Gandhi will address rallies on 4 th June at both the venues of Almora and Pauri and shall try to rope in the support of the ex-servicemen especially who from Uttarakhand are majorly serving the Indian Army and other wings of the defense services.
This will be Rahul Gandhi’s Uttarakhand visit after four years.
In 2021 Rahul Gandhi had come to address a huge rally at Parade ground Dehradun on Vijay Diwas.
The Congress leaders and activists throughout the state are extremely spirited and in an enthusiastic mode on their leaders Kumaon and Garhwal visit.
According to Ganesh Godiyal, the party is hectically busy in the preparatory arrangements for these two meetings.
Their moral is extremely high and Rahul Gandhi’s two rallies are in a way ” COMENCEMENT” of the election campaign in Uttarakhand.
On the other hand the BJP’s national chief Nitin Nabin is also busy in Dehradun attending the high level core committee meeting with the CM, BJP chief, all the MLAs, ex CMs , ministers, party office bearers , lawmakers and the important party workers.
