PROTESTORS ARRESTED OUTSIDE UTTARAKHAND GOVERNOR’S HOUSE DEMANDING CBI PROBE IN ANKIT MURDER CASE AND DISCLOSURE OF THE NAME OF VIP in the case !
After more than fifty days of protest sit in, demonstrations and relay hunger strike at Rishikesh demanding divulging of the name of the VIP in Anita Bhandari murder case and demand for the investigation by India’s premier investigation agency CBI good number of protestors marched to Uttarakhand governor’s residence and CM’s house and were literally forcibly lifted and arrested pushing them in police vans. There was quite a commotion when the protestors raising anti government slogans demanding CBI probe in Anita Bhandari case and divulging the name of alleged VIP were arrested by Uttarakhand police. The protestors under the banner of Yuva Nyay Sangharsh Samittee who had organised the 51 day sit in at Rishikesh squatted outside the governor’s residence raising slogans vociferously and confronting with the police who had to arrest them. Among those arrested was also Congress leader Jayendra Ramola and others. They had accused the BJP government of being a deaf and dumb government demanding CBI enquiry into Anita Bhandari case and also in Recruitment Scam. They also demanded divulgence of the name of the alleged VIP because of whom the Anita Bhandari murder took place. The case is currently being probed by SIT but the protestors have no faith on its investigation demanding no less than a CBI probe. They also demanded making the investigation report public to enable people know the name of the VIP.
